Done in by their inability to find the location of either of the Kuwaiti leg's Detour options, Sarah Reinertsen and Peter Harsch were the last team to reach The Amazing Race 10's sixth Pit Stop, causing the "dating friends" to become the fifth team to be eliminated from the latest edition of the CBS reality show.

The Amazing Race 10's sixth episode began with the seven remaining teams departing Chettinad House, a Chennai, India royal palace that served as the Race's fifth Pit Stop. As they left the Pit Stop, the teams received a Treasure Hunters-like mobile phone video message in which The Amazing Race host Phil Keoghan told the teams that they had to fly 2,400 miles to Kuwait City and then locate a group of unnamed spherical towers shown in the message.

Although nearly three hours separated the first team to leave the Pit Stop (Peter and Sarah) from the sixth team to leave the Pit Stop (former drug addicts and models Tyler Denk and James Branaman) and the sixth place team departed the Pit Stop nearly two and a half hours ahead of the seventh place "marked for elimination" husband and wife team of David and Mary Conley, the infrequent nature of international flights meant that although the teams departed Chennai on different flights, they all ended up arriving in Kuwait City via the exact same Mumbai-departing flight.

Once they arrived in Kuwait City, the teams drove themselves to Kuwait Towers, the well-known local landmark that had appeared in the teams' earlier video message. After arriving at Kuwait Towers and waiting for the observation deck to open, the teams found a cluebox containing not only the leg's Roadblock task, but also a Fast Forward, one of only two available in the entire race.

The Roadblock required one team member to climb up a ladder attached to the outside of the large spherical structure located 610 feet up the tower. After reaching the top of the sphere, the team member had to retrieve a satchel full of puzzle pieces, return to the ground, and then use the pieces to complete a puzzle that would reveal the name of a marketplace street where a small shop holding their next clue was located. Should they instead decide to attempt to go for the Fast Forward, the teams would have to drive 18 miles to an oil field, don protective gear, and then use a fire retardant shield to retrieve a clue located next to a simulated oil well fire. The first team to successfully retrieve the clue would be able to skip all other tasks and go directly to the Pit Stop. Should more than one team attempt to go for the Fast Forward, any teams that failed to retrieve the Fast Forward would have to return back to Kuwait Towers and complete the Detour.

Most of the teams quickly decided to pass on the Fast Forward, but beauty queens Dustin Konzelman and Kandice Pelletier immediately decided to go for it. Realizing what the girls had decided to do and that getting the Fast Forward was David and Mary's best chance to remain in the race, Erwin and Godwin Cho (part of the three-team "back pack" alliance that also included David and Mary and single moms Lyn Turk and Karlyn Harris) made the selfless decision to fake the girls into thinking that they were also going to go for the Fast Forward. While the brothers' bluff succeeded in scaring off Dustin and Kandice, it carried a potentially very high personal cost -- with David and Mary now all but assured of finishing the leg in first place, the odds that Erwin and Godwin, who were previously sixth in line to complete the tower climb and also could have benefited from the use of the Fast Forward, would be the last team to arrive at the next Pit Stop had just increased significantly.

Although Erwin and Godwin were the last team to assemble their puzzle and discover the street of the bead shop that contained their next clue, the payback for their altruistic behavior was near immediate. After asking a nearby policeman for directions to the location he offered to -- complete with flashing lights and sirens -- give the brothers a police escort to the street named on the puzzle. Buoyed by the police escort to the open market area, Erwin and Godwin managed to pass both Lyn and Karlyn (who they promptly told where to find the clue) and Dustin and Kandice and -- despite Peter's efforts to mislead them -- become the fourth team to find the clue that revealed the leg's two Detour task options, "Manual" and "Automatic."

"Manual" required the teams to drive to an area known as Sulaibiyah and find a feed lot. Once there they had to fill ten 110 pound bags of camel feed up to a designated line and then carry them 100 yards to a nearby pallet. "Automatic" required the teams to drive to the Kuwait Camel Racing Club. Once there they had to strap a robotic jockey to the back of a racing camel and then, using a voice-activated remote control that would cause the jockey to lightly whip the camel, get the camel to run down the length of a 104 yard track.

Three of the six teams initially decided to do each Detour option, with Tyler and James, Dustin and Kandice and dating couple Rob Diaz and Kimberly Chabollao all originally opting for "Manual" and Sarah and Peter, Erwin and Godwin, and Lyn and Karlyn originally opting for "Automatic," however the even split didn't last very long. After quickly deciding that Lyn and Karlyn (who they were blindly following to the "Automatic" location) appeared to be lost, Erwin and Godwin decided to change tasks and do "Manual" instead.

Meanwhile, although Tyler and James had initially started out planning to do the "Manual" Detour option, their inability to find anyone familiar with the Sulaibiyah area resulted in the pair deciding to switch to the "Automatic" task. While their search for the Kuwait Camel Racing Club initially appeared to be equally as fruitless, at least it gave them something in common with Sarah and Peter. Although they had been one of the first teams to leave the bead shop, Sarah and Peter got so lost that not only did they accidentally end up finding the lost-since completed Fast Forward location, but they also ended up driving all the way back to the Kuwait Towers location that had served as the leg's Roadblock.

Although it seemed to take them several hours, Tyler and James eventually managed to accomplish what Sarah and Peter had not -- finding the Kuwait Camel Racing Club. After having given up on the finding the camel club earlier in the afternoon, Sarah and Peter eventually found the Sulaibiyah feed lot sometime well after sundown. Upon finally reaching the Al-Sadiq Water Towers that served as the Race's sixth Pit Stop hours after the rest of the teams, Phil told Sarah and Peter the words that no racer ever wants to hear -- "Peter and Sarah, I am sorry to tell you that you are the last team to arrive. You've both been eliminated from the Race."
