Although many viewers may hoping otherwise, last night's episode apparently didn't mark The Hills stars Spencer and Heidi Pratt's last appearance on NBC's I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

Despite being shown finally following through on their repeated threats to quit I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! during last night's broadcast, the couple has since returned to the NBC reality competition.

"Heidi and Spencer are still in the jungle and part of the show," their representative told Us Weekly Wednesday morning.

Reports that Spencer and Heidi were attempting to return to I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! had surfaced even before footage of their departure had aired on Tuesday night's broadcast.

"We're begging NBC to let us back in!" Spencer had admitted to Extra in a Tuesday afternoon email message.

The show's producers -- who had reportedly already arranged for new participants to replace the departing couple -- had initially declined to give Spencer and Heidi a chance to return to the show, according to a Tuesday evening TMZ report, but that apparently changed by Wednesday morning.

"We called them to see if they would come on [The View] since they were leaving, but no, as it turns out they've gone back and they are staying with the program," The View host Barbara Walters said during Wednesday morning's broadcast of the ABC daytime show.

However according to Access Hollywood, the couple may still also need the approval of the show's cast and viewers in order to be allowed to remain to the competition.

"According to I'm A Celebrity rules, the couple cannot come back on the show unless the cast agrees. America may also be asked to vote on whether they can come back as well," Access reported Tuesday evening.
