Rashad is a 32-year-old free agent in the NFL. He joined Dancing with the Stars for Season 24 following many pro football players before him, including Emmitt Smith, Von Miller, Calvin Johnson, and Antonio Brown.

While NFL players tend to perform well in the ABC reality dancing competition, Rashad surpassed expectations within the first few weeks of the season. About halfway through Dancing with the Stars' currently-airing season, Rashad is a frontrunner and definitely has a chance to win the mirrorball trophy.

Do you want to learn more about the handsome contestant, whom DWTS judge Carrie Ann Inaba called a "born dancer?"

Below is a list of 6 facts Reality TV World has compiled about Rashad Jennings:

- The 6'1" athlete was born on March 26, 1985 in Forest, VA. He was a self-described "chubby kid with asthma and glasses."

- Rashad was ranked one of the No. 1 NFL safeties in 2015. In a breakout season in 2015, he started every game and set career highs in carries, rushing yards, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns.

- Rashad was drafted in 2009 in the seventh round by the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he spent four seasons. He was later signed by the Oakland Radars in 2013 for one season and the New York Giants in 2014 for four seasons.

- He was mentored in football by his two older brothers, who coached Rashad's private high school team at Lynchburg Christian Academy for free in order for Rashad to attend. Rashad went to college at the University of Pittsburgh but moved back home after one season to be closer to his family and father, who had been diagnosed with diabetes and had both of his legs amputated.

- The Dancing with the Stars contestant is the founder of the Rashad Jennings Foundation and dedicated to inspiring youth by making education fun, providing mentorship for individual success, and promoting health and fitness.

- Rashad tends to master any skill he attempts, including playing guitar, archery and poetry. He takes up a different hobby every offseason of football, and this year, he chose dance over learning a foreign language.
