While Witney is pregnant with her third child and has admitted to feeling tired at times, she explained in a recent TikTok video that fans may have misinterpreted her reactions when she and Guillermo were left waiting onstage during the elimination results.
Witney addressed the "rumors going around" and insisted she was not disappointed that she and Guillermo were declared safe. Instead, she said she was sad for the couple who was sent home.
"So every week, Guillermo and I have been put in 'the bottom three,' which doesn't necessarily mean all those couples have the lowest votes," Witney shared in the TikTok video.
"But it does mean that you don't get to celebrate that you're safe. You only get to hear who's going home."
Witney explained that her expressions reflected her sadness for the couple facing elimination, rather than a desire for her own time on the show to end.
"I'm genuinely sad for the people going home," she said, adding that she then felt "excitement" when she and Guillermo were still in the competition.
"Those two emotions are existing at once," Witney continued. "Whoever is going home, then, obviously, we celebrate -- and they don't really show that. So, yes, I am very happy that we're continuing on."
Witney also praised Guillermo for his effort in rehearsals and said he deserved to advance to Week 4 of the season, which will feature the couples dancing to Mariah Carey hits.
"He's genuinely a kind person, he genuinely wants to get better. He never gives up," she said. "Any time I'm resting in rehearsals, he's practicing."
The pro dancer added, "What you see on Tuesdays is his very best, and I think there's a lot to say about someone who may not have the skills but is willing to learn and put in the work. That's an amazing thing, and he deserves it."

Witney also responded to fans' concerns about her health as she competes while expecting another baby boy with husband Carson McAllister. The pair are already parents to sons Leo, 5, and Jet, 3.
Witney insisted that she knows her limits after years of dancing and would speak up if the physical demands became too much.
"I know how far to push my body and the baby's health has always been my number one priority," Witney said, adding how Dancing with the Stars was willing to accomodate her needs.
Witney also noted that she's been feeling "really good" overall and was resting when needed.
"I'm doing all the things my doctor has approved of, so you guys can rest easy," she said.
Witney and Guillermo had a difficult start with DWTS judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough. They earned 10 out of 30 points for their Week 1 cha cha, 12 points for their Week 2 paso doble, and 15 points for their Week 3 foxtrot.

Although their scores have improved each week, they have remained near the bottom of the judges' leaderboard.
