Patty Gonzalez wasn't confident she'd be able to continue to lose weight at home due to all the distractions, but she'll have to try her hardest, as the 34-year-old from San Diego, CA became the fourth contestant cut from The Biggest Loser's fourth season during last night's broadcast of the NBC reality weight-loss competition series.

"I have faith," said Patty once her elimination was revealed.  "I feel that God got me to where I am now, he'll get me through those distractions.  I'll eventually believe it myself one of these days.  I just have to work that much harder."

The Biggest Loser 4's fourth episode began with Red Team trainer Kim Lyons, Blue Team trainer Bob Harper and Black Team trainer Jillian Michaels participating in their own temptation challenge.  Presented with a table full of chocolate cupcakes, the trainers could eat as many or as few as they wanted, with host Alison Sweeney revealing one of the desserts contained a 15-second advantage for their team in the upcoming reward challenge.

Despite Bob having an affinity for cupcakes, he and the other trainers declined the temptation.

The three teams then met for the reward challenge at the top of a hill, which worried Blue Team member Ryan Rodriguez, a 29-year-old from Jackson Heights, NY, because he was already winded from scaling it.

Alison explained that a team would have to predict how long it would take them to go down a portion of the hill, retrieve their flag, and get back to the top.  The next team could either predict that they could complete the challenge in a quicker time or dare the initial team to go for it.  The first team to complete the challenge -- which the trainers were also participating in -- within the amount of time they predicted would win and receive what Alison described as "a really big advantage at the next weigh in."

Bidding went back and forth between the three teams, with the Blue and Red Teams eventually relenting and letting Jillian's Black Team attempt to retrieve their flag in five minutes, 25 seconds.

Isabeau Miller, a 21-year-old from Franklin, TN, said she was "scared to death" for the challenge, which got off to a rough start for the Black Team as Hollie Self, a 28-year-old from Phoenix, AZ, tripped and needed assistance from Jillian.  They retrieved the flag with three minutes to spare, but couldn't get back to the top of the hill in time and were eliminated from the challenge.

"I was just really glad that I finished and wasn't crying," said Hollie.  "It was just a huge accomplishment for me to fall down and make t back up and just make it and finish.  I'm so proud that our entire team finished."

Bidding then commenced between the Red and Blue Teams.  The Blue Team eventually relented when the Red Team predicted they could do it in five minutes, 55 seconds. Amy Zimmer, a 28-year-old from Rochester, NY, said she had "butterflies" because she's neither "graceful or coordinated."

However it was David Griffin, a 31-year-old from Cedar Hill, TN, who was bringing up the rear for the Red Team and required a helping hand from Kim.  With a little less than four minutes left after they retrieved their flag, the Red Team was able to make it back to the top of the hill with 18 seconds to spare.  The Red Team is now 4 and 0 in The Biggest Loser 4 reward challenges.

"I was just overcome because I really was struggling coming up," said Amy.  "I'm proud of myself because there's so many times in the past -- being heavy -- I wouldn't have even attempted anything like that."  Fellow Red Team member Bryan Washington, a 29-year-old from Riverdale, GA, commented Amy was the "strongest" because she wanted to quit but wouldn't.

The teams then continued to work-out for the upcoming weigh-in, and Bob found himself pushing the Blue Team even harder because they were so passive at the reward challenge.  Patty needed some extra prodding from Bob, reminding her she's a mother of three and she deserves to improve her life because she's "worth it."  He told her she'd be a "role model" to other mothers.

"I want to make my family proud.  I want to make my kids proud," said Patty.  "Bob made me realize something today.  He made me say that I do deserve it.  That was a tough pill to swallow for me because it was hard for me to believe that I deserve to be good to my body... I'm learning to value who I am."

Each of the 15 remaining contestants then received their "goal shirts" prior to a last-chance workout.  The three teams then arrived for the Week 4 weigh-in, and Alison revealed that for winning the reward challenge, the Red Team would receive immunity.  Kim called it the "best case scenario."

"I was definitely shocked," said Blue Team member Neil Tejwani, a 25-year-old from Marblehead, MA.  "I think that if we knew what the stakes were for the challenge, Bob would have pushed us even harder to make sure we did it and have no regrets.  I have so many regrets right now."

Despite being immune from elimination, the Red Team still participated in the weigh-in.  Red Team captain Phil Hawk, a 27-year-old from Powell, OH, began at 363 and lost five pounds; Amy started at 279 and shed one pound; David began at 338 and lost one pound; and Bryan started at 321 and lost two pounds.  The Red Team's total weight loss following the fourth week was only nine pounds, a 0.69% weight-loss percentage.

The Blue and Black Teams then participated in the weigh-in, with the squad having the greatest percentage of weight loss following the fourth week being safe while the other would have to eliminate a member.

The Black Team was the first to be weighed in.  Hollie began at 239 and lost three pounds; Jez Luckett, a 24-year-old from Garden City, KS, started at 316 and lost eight pounds; Jim Germanakos, a 40-year-old from Long Island, NY, started at 325 and shed 11 pounds; his twin brother Bill began at 298 and lost 13 pounds; Isabeau started at 280 and shed eight pounds; and Julie Hadden, a 34-year-old from Jacksonville, FL, began at 210 and lost seven pounds.

The Black Team's total weight loss following the fourth week was 50 pounds, a 3.0% weight-loss percentage.

The Blue Team was the last to get on the scale.  Neil started at 386 and lost 11 pounds; Kae Whang, a 27-year-old from Clark, NJ, began at 197 and shed six pounds; Nicole Michalik, a 26-year-old from Philadelphia, PA, started at 262 and lost four pounds; Patty began at 260 and lost five pounds; and Ryan started at 347 and lost six pounds.

The Blue Team's total weight loss following the fourth week was 32 pounds, a 2.20% weight-loss percentage.  While their total was better than the immune Red Team, it fell short of the Black Team's total weight-loss percentage, meaning they would have to eliminate a member for the second week in a row.  Kae couldn't be booted because she had the highest percentage of weight loss at the weigh-in.

The Blue Team was having a hard time coming to a consensus decision on who to eliminate, and explained to Bob they were going to make it a tie on purpose, which meant members of the Red and Black Teams would have the final say on who was ousted.  Bob called it a "really dumb idea."

"I heard that and I was like, 'Hell no... Hell no!" said Bob.  "You are not putting your fate in anyone else's hands... You will not take that easy way out because you can't make a decision.  I forbid it."

However it looked like it was heading towards a tie when the official votes were cast by the Blue Team, as Kae voted for Neil, Patty voted for Nicole, and Neil voted for Patty.  But both Nicole and Ryan also voted to eliminate Patty, brining an end to her The Biggest Loser 4 journey.

"I chose this person because I know that they've just exuded so much strength in the last couple weeks," explained Neil before he voted for Patty.  "And whether they believe in it or not, I really feel that they can still do this on their own."

"The last four weeks is the first time in a very long time I've been able to really concentrate on me," said Patty.  "I've got to find that strength within me."

The Biggest Loser 4's next episode will air Tuesday, October 9 at 8:30PM ET/PT.
