Nick Viall claims his The Bachelor runner-up Raven Gates talks about other people behind their backs and plays a "character" on television and on Instagram.

Nick didn't hesitate to voice his opinion about Raven and suggest she's a fake and inauthentic person during a recent appearance on The Bachelor Hour podcast, which is hosted by Season 13 The Bachelorette star Rachel Lindsay.

Not only did Nick say Raven is "full of sh-t," but he also said she pretends to be someone she's not.

"I think sometimes the character she portrays herself to be on the TV show and on Instagram is totally full of sh-t and lying and bullsh-t," Nick, 39, said on the podcast.

"And I think she talks sh-t about people, all the time! And I think that's totally fine. But I don't like how sometimes people pretend to not be a certain way."

Nick and Raven, 28, dated on Season 21 of The Bachelor, but Nick dumped Raven and got engaged to Vanessa Grimaldi instead. (Nick and Vanessa split five months after the show's finale aired on ABC in March 2017).

Nick recalled that Raven "totally talked sh-t about Vanessa for like a good 30 minutes in the Fantasy Suite."

Nick previously made a similar comment about Raven being two-faced during an episode of his own Viall Files podcast, which Raven subsequently denied in Nick's Instagram comments.

"I was like, 'Time out. First off all, I thought that was great about you.' I quite like Raven. This is not about me criticizing Raven because I don't like her; I think she's great. I think she's great in person," Nick explained.

"But the Raven people got to see, I don't think was Raven. Don't go on my Instagram page and claim to be that person."

Nick therefore accused Raven of lying in order to maintain a positive image.

Nick hoped to stop a backlash from listeners in its tracks by reiterating, "I think Raven is great, I quite liked her for the person I got to know, and that person was someone who was snarky and intelligent and had a bit of a dark side to her."

"She could be manipulative and all those things, and the whole picture of Raven, that was charming."

Nick then jokingly admitted he was just trying to provoke Rachel into sharing why she had a falling out with Raven, her former best friend.

It remains unclear what caused Rachel and Raven's feud, but Rachel has insisted she "never will be" friends with the Arkansas native again, People reported.

During a recent appearance on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Rachel reportedly said she had promised not to reveal the reason behind her failing friendship with Raven, who also has yet to address the rift publicly.

However, both Rachel and Raven seem to be happy and in love. Rachel married her The Bachelorette winner, Bryan Abasolo, in August, and Raven just accepted a marriage proposal from Adam Gottschalk in late May.

Raven and Adam, who currently live in Dallas, fell in love on Season 4 of Bachelor in Paradise in 2017.
