NBC has announced Nick, a multi-platinum Grammy and Golden Globe Award-nominated singer and member of the Jonas Brothers band, has signed on to sit in one of the four big red chairs for The Voice's Spring 2020 season.

Nick, who has also dabbled in film and television, will be replacing Gwen Stefani for Season 18 of The Voice and be joined by returning coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Blake Shelton.

"I'm so excited to be a part of The Voice family," Nick said in a statement. "It's such an awesome group of individuals, and I can't wait to help these artists really build and hone in to find their unique voices."

Nick first announced the big news during a Tuesday appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

"As a member of one of the hottest pop groups, Nick's success in navigating all aspects of the music industry is exceptional," NBC executive Meredith Ahr said.

"We were so impressed by his innate musicality, technical aptitude and passion that he brought to Songland earlier this year and know he will be an incredible fit as a coach on The Voice. We are excited to see Nick lend his mentorship, relatability and breadth of knowledge to a new crop of artists."

Nick is no stranger to The Voice set, as he previously served as an advisor for Christina Aguilera's team during the show's eighth season.

Kelly made her debut as a coach on The Voice for Season 15, while Blake has never relinquished his coaching role since the franchise premiered back in 2011.

John joined The Voice as a coach for Season 16 and won the season with Maelyn Jarmon. As for Gwen, she previously served as a coach for Seasons 7, 9, 12 of the reality singing competition.

Adam Levine had starred on every season of The Voice as a coach up until the currently-airing seventeenth edition.
