Natalie began the game as a member of the Goliath tribe given she's used to dishing out orders, receiving respect, and having people work under her, but her bold personality rubbed some of her tribemates the wrong way in the first several days of the game.
- Natalie's hobbies are roller skating, traveling, attending live concerts and plays, and creating things such as natural skincare, soaps and cleansers.
- Natalie can't stand people who express negativity, talk too much, listen too little, tend to say no before they consider "the yes," quit, make silly errors at work, lack motivation or commitment, and are lazy or ignorant.
In addition, Natalie doesn't want to see men with sagging pants.

- Her personal claim to fame is her family, particularly her children. Natalie is also proud of her business and entrepreneurial accomplishments.
They include becoming the first African-American at the L.A. Times to be a dual-director in which she's director of inside sales at LAT as well as director of advertising for the Recycler, a separate L.A. Times-owned media business; launching the largest black-owned circulating newspaper on the west coast, Our Weekly; and starting her e-commerce business, a natural and organic skincare line called Kalaiaah.
- If Natalie could compare herself to one former Survivorcastaway, she would choose Survivor: One World winner Kim Spradlin, who operated in a logical, strategic and calculating manner on the show.
