During the special jam-packed broadcast, Drew initially nominated Marvin and Diane Henry for eviction. However, with Diane later emerging victorious in the skee ball-like Power of Veto competition and opting to take herself off of the block, Drew nominated Jennifer Dedmon (aka "Nakomis") to take her place.

Marvin received three votes for eviction from houseguests Michael Ellis (aka "Cowboy"), Karen O’Neil-Ganci, and Diane. The vote was unanimous – no one voted to evict Nakomis. Drew was ineligible to vote as Head of Household.

During the live broadcast, the mortician from Conway, SC learned his fate, said his good-byes and left the house. After leaving the Big Brother 5 house, Marvin was briefly interviewed by Julie Chen about his experience. Marvin becomes the fourth member of the jury, joining Will Wikle and twin sisters Adria Klein and Natalie Carroll.

Following Marvin's eviction, Drew's abbreviated 48-hour-long Head of Household reign came to an end when the five remaining houseguests competed in a missing household items quiz competition to determine who would become the next Head of Household. Nakomis, the 21-year-old single restaurant hostess from San Antonio, Texas, won the coveted Head of Household position for a third time.

Big Brother 5 is broadcast three nights a week on Tuesdays, (9-10PM ET/PT), Thursdays (8-9PM ET/PT) and Saturdays, (9-10PM ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
