Married at First Sight star Paige Banks feels Chris Williams' decision to tell her he wanted a divorce less than two weeks into their marriage left her flabbergasted and feeling like he was spitting in her face.

On Wednesday night's episode of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, Paige watched back a Season 12 clip in which she and Chris sat down with Pastor Calvin Roberson and Chris revealed his ex-fiancee Mercedes being pregnant.

Chris appeared to discover at the beginning of his Las Vegas honeymoon that Mercedes was about six weeks along in her pregnancy, and once the honeymoon ended, Chris flew to Chicago and spent several days away from Paige, who moved into their new Atlanta apartment alone.

"Maybe I am still in love with her," Chris admits in the clip of Mercedes, whom he had been engaged to just three months before signing up for Married at First Sight. "So I think that it's best to separate and to divorce."

On Unfiltered, host Jamie Otis -- who starred on Season 1 of Married at First Sight -- asked Paige what was going through her mind when Chris told her that he wanted a divorce.

"I am literally flabbergasted," Paige said.

"You just told me a couple of days ago that I'm your wife and I come before everyone -- and then you hopped your behind on a plane and then came back to Atlanta with a new relevation that you want to get back with the mother of your child?"

Paige added, "It's really like a spit in my face."

After Pastor Cal left the conversation, Chris whispered something in Paige's ear that made her smile.

Paige claimed that Chris had whispered his fear was falling in love with her, which left Paige feeling confused and asking herself, "Are we really, really done?"

Paige admitted on Unfiltered she had no idea why Chris flipped the script on her like that.

"I'm like, 'Why are you telling me this right now?!'" Paige recalled.

"You literally just stated that you wanted to get a divorce, so there should be no additional commentary in regards to where we stand in our relationship if you've made a decision that you wanted to be with somebody else."

Paige couldn't believe how Chris was essentially playing mind games with her.

"I feel like I'm on Punk'd!" Paige said.

"I just feel like, for lack of a better word, it's like you're playing with me at this point. Don't teeter the fence with both of us at this point."

After Chris said he wanted a divorce from Paige, he called her shortly after their meeting with Pastor Cal and asked if she'd be willing to meet his ex-fiancee face to face to hash everything out.

Paige agreed to the meeting in order to clear up any confusion she had and take back the control in her marriage.

Paige and Mercedes had a polite conversation that resulted in Mercedes announcing, "I want to make it very clear: Me and him working it out, that's not my intentions right now -- at all."

Mercedes seemed shocked and angry that Chris had been having unprotected sex with Paige during their time together. (Mercedes said Chris had told her about being intimate with Paige but he left some major details out).

"If you're not reconciling with the mother of your child, then what's the real reason we're getting a divorce?" Paige questioned. "Did you try to work things out with her and then this is a shock for both parties here?"

Paige laughed that the joke was on Chris, and she questioned his intentions from the start.

"He decided to get married under the pretense y'all's situation was signed, sealed and delivered," Paige told Mercedes.

"So if you come in here with those pure intentions, you'd think regardless of what he's faced against, you still will do what a man will do and still carry on his responsibilities as somebody's husband."

Mercedes replied, "Yeah," and Paige continued, "For him to be so eager to hop back into a situation that [Chris] said he left is kind of alarming to me."

Paige explained her relationship with Chris no longer served her, and Chris became increasingly more annoyed as Paige said unflattering things about her husband.

"I do not want to lead you on, especially when I am mentally checked out. That's all I'm saying," Chris told Paige, adding that it was unfair of Paige to paint a picture that he had mistreated her.

He later insisted of Paige, "I have been nothing but honest and respectful towards her and I don't feel like the respect is being reciprocated at this point."

Paige concluded that she needed a man who would be there for her through thick and thin and in sickness and health. Paige said Chris had yet to honor his vows and so it was time for her to walk away.

"And I'm okay with that," Paige noted. "I pray that my love story is a happily-ever-after."
