During the April 8 broadcast ofMarried at First Sight: Unfiltered, Katie watched back a Season 10 clip of herself venting to Derek on the way to the couples' retreat about how she is valuable and deserved for her exes to put more effort into their relationships with her.
Derek agreed in the clip, calling his wife "a catch."
"Throughout the experiment, you tell Derek that you really wanted him to pursue you more. What's it like hearing him say that he thinks you're a catch?" Unfiltered host Jamie Otis asked.
"It's really nice hearing him say things like I'm a catch and it makes me feel good, but I'm still wanting to see more action from him," Katie shared.
Katie explained how she saw two different sides of Derek during the Married at First Sight experiment, one of which she wasn't fond of.
"He says the right thing a lot when we are on-camera, which can make him look really good, but it's like as soon as the cameras go away, he doesn't put in that effort and we're not really spending a lot of quality time together," Katie claimed.
"We're not having those meaningful conversations that we need to have."
Jamie responded by saying, "Interesting. We did not catch onto that."
"It's hard to catch onto," Katie acknowledged. "Because I don't choose to call him out on any of it."
Katie and Derek took a huge leap forward in their relationship once they decided to stay married on "Recommitment Day."

Derek promised to help Katie embrace her inner-child since she had to grow up quickly due to her parents' divorce, and Katie realized she should be more supportive of Derek's dreams and aspirations.
Jamie pointed out a lot of couples seem to benefit from "Recommitment Day," so she asked Married at First Sightexpert, Pastor Calvin Roberson, what the intention is behind incorporating that stage into the process.
"The intention is to think, re-evaluate and decide. It's almost like a reset," Pastor Cal replied.
"So our goal is that, during this time, we can find whatever the problems are and sort of tweak or correct or help them to see what those problems are so they can go through the rest of the experiment with this renewed energy and this renewed faith in their relationships."
The spiritual expert added, "Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't."
It worked for Katie and Derek, but the pair got into a huge argument during the couples' retreat when Katie accused Derek of flirting and being more friendly with the other wives. Katie complained Derek didn't make her feel special, nor did he pay enough attention to her.
Once Derek apologized and Katie chose to forgive him, the couple bonded over stealing a golf cart and saving a turtle on the side of the road during their drive home. Katie loved seeing the adventurous, bad-boy side of Derek, and he said he was "turned on" by her playful energy.
