Married at First Sight star Haley Harris has revealed what Jacob Harder texted her the night when she left him to hang out with friend and co-star Paige Banks at Paige's apartment.

On Wednesday night's episode of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, Haley watched back a Season 12 clip of an argument she had with Jacob the day after she returned from spending an evening with Paige in their shared apartment complex.

"I was going to at least try to talk a little bit last night," Jacob says in the clip.

"You didn't make it known that you wanted me to come back down or I would have," Haley insists.

"I send kind of a joking text or whatever around 11PM," Jacob reminds her.

"If you would've told me last night you wanted to have a conversation, I 100 percent would have done that," Haley argues.

"If I would have said, 'Hey I want to talk,' you would have just said, 'Well, I'm going to hang out with my friends,' and then you probably would have stayed out anyway," Jacob counters.

Haley told Jacob that he never even tried or gave her a chance, but he continued his train of thought in saying, "I would've been upset and you would've said, 'Tough sh-t.'"

"I love how you've already spun this in your mind of what would happen instead of just telling me you wanted to talk," Haley complains.

On Unfiltered, host Jamie Otis -- who starred on Season 1 of Married at First Sight -- acknowledged there was so much to unpack from that clip.

"What was this text that Jake sent you?" Jamie asked Haley.

"You want to know what the text was?! It was some 80's reference! It was like a music video involving the 80's," Haley replied. "So what am I supposed to do with this?"

Haley, clearly frustrated after reliving that disagreement, continued, "I didn't even think it really warranted a response because it was nothing -- there was no context with it."

"It was literally just, like, 'Hey, look at this!'" she added.

Jamie therefore asked Haley how she was feeling after that tense conversation with Jacob over her night out with Paige.

"I was at the end of my rope, to be completely honest," Haley confessed.

"I was pissed off because he put words in my mouth and he said, 'Well, you would have said this! You would have said that. I already knew you would say that.' You don't know me well enough to know what I'm going to say!"

One of Haley's Married at First Sight co-stars, Erik Lake, joined her on Unfiltered and joked that his communication with his wife Virginia Coombs was "a little bit better" while filming the show.

"I caught myself doing the same thing to a certain extent: expecting her to understand how I feel instead of telling her," Erik revealed.

"And I think Jake needs to address that a little bit more and just talk with her."

Haley and Jacob's relationship has been a rocky one on Married at First Sight's currently-airing twelfth season.

After the couple became intimate during their honeymoon, Haley pulled back from Jacob and realized she had jumped into things too quickly.

The pair subsequently struggled to communicate and find things in common.

Jacob also complained Haley wasn't vulnerable or open with him, and Haley admitted to her husband that she wasn't attracted to him.

Haley therefore bought Jacob a set of new clothes to wear in attempt to build some chemistry or create a spark (since he's obsessed with 80's style) organically.

"If there's no physical attraction, then honestly I don't know if we really have kind of a shot," Jacob lamented, later adding that he and Haley were "barely getting along."

Haley, however, said she considered the fact an attraction can grow over time, and so she asked her husband to just relax, have some fun with her, and be understanding and patient.

During a counseling session with Dr. Viviana Coles on the latest episode, Haley got choked up and said she never wanted to hurt Jacob's feelings and he was doing everything she had asked of him.

"But it's not the superficial stuff. I just connect with people so easily and I do not [with Jacob]," Haley cried.

When asked if there was physical attraction, Haley explained she wasn't super attracted to Jacob when they met on their wedding day and she was "middle of the road" about him but then she started "doing all the work" in their relationship which was apparently "draining" and turned her off.

Haley said she desired a fun man who could complement her adventurous lifestyle and was worried Jacob was trying to change himself too much to make her happy.

Viviana asked Haley to keep in mind there could be a change or a-ha moment, especially as Haley and Jacob continued to change and get to know one another better. Viviana essentially asked Haley to not give up and have a marriage-funeral just yet.

Since Haley and Jacob were desperate to build some type of connection, Haley agreed to sleep in the same bed as her husband going forward. She noted, however, she wasn't ready for any kissing or spooning.
