The Married at First Sight broadcast began with Virginia complaining about how she didn't think Erik was putting effort into talking to, getting to know or spending time with her family when she had been speaking to his relatives every day.
When Virginia confronted Erik about the issue, the pilot said he had been focused on them as a couple and her family lived somewhat far away but he'd try harder and do better.
Meanwhile, Briana showed Vincent some of her tap-dancing moves and opened up about how she didn't feel "as cute" as the other dancers in her class when she was younger because her skin was so dark. Briana said she started feeling beautiful, however, at age 15 or 16.
Vincent could tell Briana would make an awesome mom one day and they could teach their children to be confident and feel desired and talented. Briana, however, said they wouldn't be having children "for a long time," which immediately upset Vincent.
With 15 days to go until Decision Day, Ryan sat down with Clara's mother and revealed he'd like to raise their children in church, which Clara wasn't thrilled about.
Ryan said a spiritual connection would probably help to build up their foundation and take their bond even deeper, and Clara's mother agreed and said she'd like to see Clara come around on that topic.
Erik later FaceTimed with Virginia's father to try to create a relationship with him, and Virginia's husband was warned that she had trust issues.

Erik pointed out that he was trying to teach Virginia how a marriage works, but Virginia's dad said a good marriage can look different to different people and there's not one way to do it right.
Haley and Jacob then attempted to bond through different activities such as going to the batting cages and mini-golf.
Jacob joked his baseball swing developed late and he was "missing the mark" just like he was in his marriage. During their outing, Haley shared how she had done cheerleading and played softball and basketball in school and was raised to "see things through."
During a sit-down conversation with Dr. Pepper, Briana discussed how she wanted Vincent to wake up earlier in the morning -- but Vincent didn't want to feel judged and or be viewed as lazy if he chose to sleep in later.
On the topic of compromise, Pepper suggested letting Vincent sleep in some days of the week, and she also asked Vincent if he'd be willing to adopt if being pregnant and having a child would be a danger for Briana given she already suffers from high blood pressure.
"I definitely want kids. [Adopting] has never crossed my mind... I think I would probably just need some time to think about it," Vincent told Pepper, before telling the cameras, "I wanted to build my legacy -- having a wife and three children and having a beautiful family."
Vincent added, "I don't know if adopting a child is something I want."
After Erik was shown promising he wouldn't hurt Virginia and he'd always be there for her as long as she wanted to be with him and have him around, Jacob and Haley got into a little tiff.
When the experts asked Haley and Jacob to each write a letter to their younger selves and give advice, Jacob joked about how he shouldn't have brought Haley that silver infinity bracelet she had received on her wedding day.
Haley apparently hadn't worn the bracelet once since Jacob gifted it to her, and he admitted it was a point of frustration for him.
Haley explained that she thought the bracelet was a necklace and so she didn't wear it on her wedding because she had a high-neck dress. Haley also said her mother had taken the bracelet with her, and Jacob pointed out that Haley could have had it shipped by now.
"I didn't think it was a big deal I wasn't wearing it around everywhere," Haley said.
"It's not about wearing it around, but you could have brought it to the apartment at least to have it as an option," Jacob noted. "It's a bit awkward.
"It didn't even cross my mind, honestly," Haley said.
"And that's why it bugged me," Jacob admitted.
Haley apologized for upsetting Jacob but seemed annoyed.
Haley then argued Jacob hadn't worn the hat she had given him on their wedding day, but Jacob said the hat was $20 and the bracelet he had purchased for her was $800. Jacob also noted he had the hat in his possession while Haley hadn't even thought about the bracelet once.
"We have a lot of things going on so I'm sorry a piece of jewelry wasn't at the top of my mind," Haley snapped.
"Well, that could just be a microcosm of our marriage, I guess," Jacob replied.
Haley left the conversation on a low note.
Pepper later sat down with Ryan and Clara, who explained she was trying to transition into being "in love" with Ryan and vice versa rather than the spouses just "having love" for each other. She also seemed more comfortable with waiting to have sex until Ryan was ready and felt the encounter was "natural."
Ryan also shared, "I don't want to get into the habit of saying 'I love you' and losing its value and its purpose."
Pepper said it's important to say "I love you" frequently in case it's the last thing that's ever said to someone. Pepper explained that kind of connection would support their marriage.
"I don't want to rush it, but I don't want to be married to a man who can't say 'I love you' ever, ever, ever. That's not what I want in a marriage," Clara cried in a confessional.
Over a nice meal that reminded Vincent of his Dominican-Republic upbringing and roots, he shared with Briana how he didn't come from money and had lived with his aunt, who really struggled. Vincent thanked his family for making sacrifices and bringing him to the U.S.
Vincent apparently wanted a family badly because he never had that dynamic growing up and just felt like he was by himself. Vincent said he wished he had the love of a mother and father as well as siblings, and the revelation made Briana just want to hug her husband.
"I can understand him wanting a child with his own DNA, but I hope it's not a dealbreaker for him," Briana noted.
With 10 days until "Decision Day," Pepper sat down with Haley and Jacob, who were both quiet and clearly unhappy.
Haley expressed surprise and annoyance over Jacob always wearing dress shoes instead of leisure clothes. Jacob, for instance, wore dress shoes to the batting cages,
Haley insisted her questioning was not surface-level and she wanted to understand why Jacob didn't like feel comfortable, and Jacob explained he doesn't like tennis shoes and thought that concern was "trivial."
Jacob also repeated how the bracelet issue was "disrespectful" to him, and Pepper took Jacob's side in saying he clearly felt hurt and rejected. Pepper also said the bracelet signified how seriously Jacob was taking their marriage.
Pepper told the cameras Haley needed to accept responsibility for her role in the problem or else her marriage probably wouldn't work out, but Haley lamented about Jacob bringing up the bracelet for "the 95th time."
As for Erik and Virginia, they were back on the right track.
Erik told Pepper he appreciated how Virginia continued to open up and be vulnerable with him, but Erik's sister predicted Virginia wanting to party with her friends all the time would become a big problem for Erik if it wasn't already.
Virginia gushed about being in love with Erik, but she admitted she was a little scared about moving forward together after "Decision Day" because they're "such different people."
Virginia suggested to Erik that he often got "stuck in the constraints" of what he thought marriage was supposed to be, but Erik explained he was just trying to reach some standards for marriage he had set for himself that are important to him.
"There are things you just don't do," Erik told Virginia. "What do you want from me? I'm just being honest about that."
"Okay, but I feel like there's a long list of those [expectations] that you're never going to compromise with me on," Virginia argued.
Erik said he didn't have "a long list" of marriage standards and he wasn't willing to let those go.
At the end of the broadcast, Clara confessed she was "in love" with Ryan and hoped he was feeling the same way. Clara was beginning to get frustrated that Ryan wasn't expressing his feelings to her more.
Haley also FaceTimed with her mother and asked Lee Ann to send the bracelet to her. Lee Ann admitted Jacob constantly bringing up the bracelet and its price was "tacky," and Haley agreed.
Haley also informed her mother that Jacob had returned the Alabama hat she had given him on their wedding day.
Lee Ann said Jacob should be given the gift back if he wasn't truly ready to give Haley the gift.
