Lawrence Taylor appeared to be visibly relieved that his Dancing with the Stars journey has come to an end.

"Yeah [I was happy to get eliminated]," said Taylor during a Tuesday night Jimmy Kimmel Live appearance that followed his Dancing with the Stars ouster.

The former NFL star and his professional partner Edyta Swilinska became the seventh couple booted from Dancing with the Stars' eighth season during last night's live results show broadcast on ABC.

"I had a good time... and what else?" Taylor asked Swilinska, who also appeared on Kimmel.

"You learned how to dance," she replied.

"I did learn how to dance," said Taylor.  "I don't know where the hell I'm going to use it at."

Taylor and Swilinska consistently found themselves towards the bottom of the judges' leaderboard throughout the competition -- and this week was no different, as the couple received a 21 out of 30 possible points for their waltz, the lowest score of the week.

However Taylor said he probably would have performed even worse if it wasn't for his partner.

"It was a blessing to be with her," said Taylor about Swilinska.  "She really knows how to get the best out of the dancers.  She works hard."

In addition, Taylor said it was Tuesday night's group performance that gave him the most trouble.

"That was a little bit different," he said.  "That was a bunch of bulls**t."

During the sixth week of the competition, the eighth-season celebrity participants were allowed to choose the outfits for the performances -- and Kimmel gave Taylor a hard time about the conservative outfit he chose for Swilinska.

"What happened to the LT I know?" asked Kimmel.

"He went to rehab," responded Taylor.

"Edyta, if I picked the outfits you'd be wearing like three Skittles," joked Kimmel.

"That's one more Skittle than she usually wears," added Taylor, who said he also received a hard time from his wife about his sexy partner.

"My wife is great.  She really does bother me a lot about dancing with Edyta... she called me up and said, 'You know what?  You kissed her a little bit too long on the cheek.'"

Taylor said out of the six remaining couples, four of them are the "cream of the crop" and could claim the eighth season's mirror ball trophy.

"There's some very good dancers left," he said.  "You've got four dancers that are phenomenal, Gilles [Marini], Melissa [Rycroft], Lil Shawn [Johnson] and Lil Kim.  They are phenomenal."
