Kris Jenner reportedly planned to sell daughter Kim Kardashian's baby announcement but Kanye West blew the surprise and gave the news away for free.

"Sometimes the baby announcement sells more than the baby pics," an Us Weekly insider told The New York Daily News.

Jenner reportedly believes she lost out on a potential $500,000 paycheck for Kardashian's baby story, as the family allegedly received $200,000 for this week's Us Weekly exclusive photo shoot and interview with Kourtney Kardashian about how she dropped 44 pounds following her daughter Penelope's birth five months ago.

"Kris runs that family like a machine. She wanted the control over when and where they make their money. The [Us] contract states that they have Kourtney exclusively for two weeks, but they're more interested in Kim."

However, West blew Jenner's chance of allegedly making money off Kim's pregnancy when he announced Kim was expecting their first child at his Atlantic City concert on Sunday. With Kim sitting in the audience, the rapper told the crowd, "stop the music and make noise for my baby mama."

But Jenner isn't the only person disappointed about how the news was revealed to the public, according to the Daily News. Us had apparently anticipated being the first to learn about Kim's baby as it's built a strong business relationship with the Kardashian clan over the years.

Us also apparently missed out on the opportunity to publish an article about West's concert announcement because the company had closed its latest issue the Friday before New Years. Although West declared his girlfriend of about nine months pregnant on Sunday, it was too late for the magazine to do anything on it since they went to print on Monday.

"Us paid for the [Kourtney] exclusive; they are livid now. After all the press they've given the girls, they're furious," said the insider. "Clearly Kris knew about this. She negotiated Kourtney's deal with them. They've given the family millions over the years for exclusives; they expected at least the first tip."

Despite the insider's claims, another Us source reportedly thinks Jenner and Kim would've only earned $100,000 for the pregnancy story.

Rumors that Kim and West had a baby on the way had first surfaced early last month.
