The 37-year-old Don't Be Tardy and former The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, who is currently competing on Season 21 of Dancing With the Stars, revealed news of her "mini stroke" on Instagram Thursday by sharing a photo of herself lying in a hospital bed yesterday.

"The last 24hrs have been whirlwind! I landed yesterday morning from LAX (took the red eye right after DWTS) I got home and within minutes suffered a TIA (mini stroke)," the mother of six captioned the photo.

"The left side of my body went completely numb and my speech was gone. Extremely grateful for @sladeosborne @briellebiermann @nikitpressley @kroybiermann for quick reactions! I have 100% of my feeling back THANK GOD. Still in the hospital but I just know I'm getting released today! #CrazyAgeDoesntMatter."

Zolciak posted another photo later on of her husband holding her in the bed. She wrote that only family matters in times such as these.

The status of Zolciak's participation in DWTS going forward remains unclear. However, according to an E! News source, Zolciak already wasn't feeling well after Tuesday night's performance show so she flew home and turned down rehearsing with pro partner Tony Dovolani.

Zolciak's husband Kroy Biermann reportedly checked her into the hospital. While the reality TV star hopes to get released from the hospital today, she was scheduled to practice with Dovolani in the afternoon, so that will probably not happen now.

Zolciak's hairstylist Niki Toney-Pressley -- one of the people Zolciak thanked in her Instagram post -- took to social media Thursday morning to announce she's "feeling better." However, Toney-Pressley called Zolciak's incident "one of the scariest days ever."

Zolciak and Dovolani have made a pattern of landing in the bottom half of the judges' leaderboard every week. Zolciak cried during DWTS' debut because of their low scores, and on Tuesday night, Dovolani made it clear by laughing at the judges' scores he feels they've been getting gypped.

However, the pair increased their scores by 7 points within a week of competing. Dovolani told E! News Zolciak has been working really hard and so they simply deserve more credit.
