Vivid Entertainment, which owns the Kim Kardashian: Superstar sex tape, has revealed video-on-demand purchases of the tape have increased by 80% percent since West announced he and his girlfriend are expecting their first child together on Sunday, TMZ reported.

Vivid reportedly added that the spike in sales are the greatest they've seen dating back to the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and her ex-husband Kris Humphries' August 2011 wedding.

According to TMZ, the overall tape sales of Kardashian's video -- which also include online and DVD purchases -- have actually been steadily increasing since she began dating West in the spring. The pair were spotted on a date together in early April, which sparked reports their longtime friendship had progressed into a romantic relationship.

The sex tape features Kardashian and former boyfriend and singer "Ray J" William Ray Norwood Jr., who starred in two seasons of For the Love of Ray J on VH1. Kardashian and Norwood Jr. began dating and made the home sex video in 2003 but split in 2006. The tape was subsequently released by Vivid in February 2007 and launched Kardashian into the media spotlight.

After Vivid bought the rights to the video for $1 million and released it, Kardashian sued the company for ownership of the tape. However, she ended up dropping the lawsuit in late April 2007, ultimately settling with Vivid for $5 million.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians later premiered on E! in October of that year.
