Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' divorce case will finally be heading to trial.

Humphries -- who has been claiming Kardashian entered into the 72-day marriage on fraudulent grounds and insisting on an annulment, not a divorce -- had reportedly asked for a delay until his NBA basketball season ended, but Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon rejected the request.
Gordon reportedly noted that workers in numerous other industries -- including firefighters, police officers, and truck drivers -- routinely have to miss work for trials and Humphries will have do the same if necessary.
Kardashian has contested Humphries' attempts for an annulment -- which is based on his belief that the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star only married him for the purpose of entertainment via her reality show on E!.
The divorce trial is reportedly expected to last between three and five days and will apparently allow Kardashian, who is currently pregnant with new boyfriend Kanye West's child, to meet her goal of being divorced by the time she gives birth in July.
Earlier this month, Kardashian filed court papers which she alleged Humphries has been putting her unborn baby at risk by dragging out their divorce.
In addition to potentially causing harm to her pregnancy, Kardashian also complained Humphries was causing her unhappiness and negatively affecting her own health and welfare.
Kardashian filed for divorce from Humphries citing irreconcilable differences in October 2011 -- only 72 days after the pair tied the knot in a heavily-promoted, two-night reality TV special which delivered huge ratings for E!.
