The 32-year-old "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star detailed her experience with the disease on her website and app on Tuesday to encourage fans to protect their health.

"I have moles everywhere, and a couple years ago, I noticed one growing under my breast," Kardashian shared.

"Thankfully, it was benign. I've gone through this process a couple of times and I am so grateful that most moles have not been cancerous."

"However, there was one mole I had on my back that was skin cancer," she revealed. "I had 8 inches of skin removed. It was definitely painful because it was a lot of skin, but most of the time, the removals haven't been that bad."

"I haven't had a problem in years, but wanted to share my experience with you so that if you notice something that doesn't look right, you will take action and take care of your health!" the star encouraged.

Kardashian previously told OK! magazine she was 20 when she discovered the cancerous mole.

The "very stressful" experience led her to change her habits and her attitude toward her health and well-being.

"I'm very cautious," the star said in 2008. "I use sunscreen on my face and hands every single day. It is part of my routine now."

"You just have to know your body," she added. "Girls are better at being in tune with their bodies and being like, 'This doesn't feel right. Let me go to the doctor.' But just because people know what's right and wrong, it doesn't mean they always do it."

Kardashian and her family underwent DNA testing for BRCA1 and BRCA 2, the breast cancer and ovarian cancer susceptibility genes, in "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" Season 11.

She, her mom and sisters all came back negative.
