Kelly Rowland has confirmed she's engaged to her manager Tim Witherspoon and revealed he popped the question over Skype.

"He put a ring on it. It's official," the 32-year-old singer and The X Factor judge said in an advanced interview clip released by The Queen Latifah Show.

"It actually happened on Skype," Rowland recalled with a laugh.

"He asked me first on Skype and I was like, 'We're so far away from each other.' I was in like Bulgaria somewhere. But it was so late, I remember we were both just kinda like, honestly, just staring at each other. And he asked me, and it was just that simple to say yes. I was like, 'I got my best friend. I have my best friend to ride through life with.' He really is my best friend."

Rowland also admitted to show host Queen Latifah she's actually been engaged for "awhile."

"We kept it very, very low for years to be completely honest," said the former Destiny's Child member.

Reports a "very happy" Rowland got engaged began circulating last month when she was "showing [the ring] off to friends and family," according to an Us Weekly source.

Rowland was previously engaged to football player Roy Williams but the pair reportedly called it quits in January 2005 two months before they were set to walk down the aisle.

Rowland currently serves on The X Factor's third-season judging panel alongside Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato and Paulina Rubio. She is mentoring the "Over 25s" category and currently still has one artist, Jeff Gutt, in the competition. The show's season finale airs this Thursday night on Fox.

Rowland's appearance will appear on Wednesday's broadcast of The Queen Latifah Show.
