Jon Gosselin's deal to design a children's clothing line is apparently happening after all.

The Jon & Kate Plus 8 star will develop a children's clothing line with Ed Hardy designer Christian Audigier that is slated to hit U.S. shelves by the end of August, E! News reported Tuesday.

"It should be [happening]," Audigier told E! News.

Word of the clothing line first emerged earlier this week when Gosselin and his new girlfriend Hailey Glassman traveled to the French Riviera to meet with Audigier.

While Gosselin and Audigier both confirmed the clothing line -- with the designer even quoted as saying he "would like to do a line of children's clothing" with Gosselin and adding "everyone will know our clothes" --  a rep for Audigier subsequently denied the partnership.

"Christian is absolutely not starting a kids' clothing line with Jon," a rep for Audigier told Us Weekly in a Monday evening report. "As of right now, there is no clothing line in the works between them at all."

However rep David Weintraub backed off the denial on Tuesday after Gosselin, Glassman and Audigier celebrated their new partnership on Monday evening at the Tetou fish restaurant in Golfe-Juan, according to E! News.

"If Christian told you directly, then that's exactly what he's doing," Weintraub told E! News.

Gosselin returned to the U.S. on Tuesday to begin filming new episodes of Jon & Kate Plus 8, which went on hiatus last month after Kate Gosselin filed for a no-fault divorce and the couple publicly announced their separation during a subsequent episode of the TLC reality series.
