First Kate Gosselin had to defend her husband Jon when allegations of infidelity surfaced, but now alleged upcoming reports about her own extramarital activities have put her on guard.

The Jon & Kate Plus 8 matriarch has preemptively denied an alleged upcoming allegation that she is romantically involved with family bodyguard Steve Neild, People reported Tuesday.

"The next story coming out from the animals that stalk us is about our security person and his family," Kate told People. "Already the allegations they're making about me are disgusting, unthinkable, unfathomable, and I am horrified."

In addition, Kate said she feels bad for Neild and his family -- who frequently travels with the Gosselin family -- since they have been nothing but supportive during her husband's recent bout of infidelity allegations.

"These are people who absolutely love us and want to see us through to the end," Kate told People about Neild and his family.

"Of course, both of them travel with us at times, and we've spent holidays together, because, in this situation, your circle grows smaller and smaller, and it's very natural to become friends with your manager, your publicist, your security team ... they're the only people you have left. And now they're coming under fire."

Jon has most recently been fighting allegations that he has been having an affair with Deanna Hummel, a 23-year-old schoolteacher.  Both Jon and Hummel have denied the allegations, which began when Us Weekly published a cover story report in which the pair where photographed leaving a Pennsylvania club alone at 2AM on April 18.

While the Gosselin's family friends have also denied the report, Kate said she's worried that the recent rumors will ultimately alienate them.

"I'm totally panicking, and thinking, 'We are going to lose our last set of friends,'" Kate told People.  "I keep calling them, begging, 'Seriously, I'm so sorry. Don't run away from us.' They keep saying, 'We're fine, we're fine.' But they have paparazzi in front of their house. It's so upsetting."

The allegations involving Jon and Hummel resurfaced last week when Us published a follow-up cover story report in which Deanna's brother Jason Hummel told the magazine its earlier report was correct and he could confirm the pair have been having an affair for the past few months.

According the new report in Us Weekly's May 18 issue, Jason is allegedly one of five people "close to the situation" who have recently told the magazine that the pair have been having an affair.

"The scary thing for me is [the tabloids] are going to take information and create a story," Kate told People.  "It's a matter of, 'When will they stop?' They're going to keep going, and they'll make up stuff to connect the dots."

While Jon & Kate Plus 8's fifth season is currently slated to debut May 25, producers are reportedly still haggling with how to address Jon's alleged affair with Deanna and the media fallout that has followed without "exploiting" the situation.

Kate said she understands her family "opened our world to this" by signing on to appear in Jon & Kate Plus 8 and added they "willingly made a conscious decision to put this out there" but feels things should stop there.

"Our friends and family did not. I had no idea we would potentially take down the people that we love around us," she told People.

"It's like saying, 'Thanks for your support, let me sic the paparazzi on you.' It's very, very difficult. It leaves us, essentially, alone and friendless. It's terrible."
