The former The Real World: Hollywood star and Celebrity Rehab participant was found dead at his friend's house in Chicago Friday morning, TMZ reported.

According to Kovar's representative, a female friend reportedly called 911 immediately after discovering Kovar's body bleeding from the ears and nose. According to TMZ, police then rushed to the scene and pronounced the reality TV star dead.

Kovar's family is reportedly attributing his cause of death to drugs, as Kovar struggled with drug and alcohol issues in his past. When Kovar starred in The Real World's twentieth edition, he entered rehab halfway through the 2008 season for drug and alcohol problems after admitting he had been battling an addiction for years.

Kovar subsequently appeared on the third season of Celebrity Rehab in 2010, where he was publicly treated for cocaine and ecstasy abuse.

Kovar is the fourth Celebrity Rehab participant to die in the last eighteen months. Rodney King was found dead in his pool at age 47 in June, Jeff Conaway died of a drug overdose at 60 years old in May 2011 and Mike Starr unexpectedly died in March 2011 at age 44.
