"Let's pretend Mel picks nobody, and so [Peg Munson] and [Cindy Angelcyk Cullers] are included in this equation. Who would you choose to be the next Golden Bachelorette?" Joe asked Joan.

Joan replied, "Hmm, so I have two that I would choose. Well, maybe even three."
"So the first one, I would say, is [Debbie Siebers]," Joan said.
Debbie, a 65-year-old fitness professional from Denver, CO, finished The Golden Bachelor's second season in third place.
Debbie seemed to be on The Golden Bachelor for the right reasons. She spoke about wanting to find a life partner after going through a tragedy in which her ex-boyfriend committed suicide shortly after their breakup.
Joan suggested that Debbie would bring a unique story to the Golden franchise considering she's never been married before.
"I love having somebody completely different, and I think that we need a little shakeup," Joan said.
"So Bachelor Nation needs a little shakeup. And to have an older person that's never been married -- I know how it is to be single at this age now, and it's not fun. The rest of the world is couples."
Joan said she believes Debbie would "bring a different perspective" to The Golden Bachelorette, given she's also never had kids.
"We don't really know [that dating world] well because we are in a world of couples," Joan explained.

Joan's "second" pick would be Terri Alani.

Mel eliminated Terri, a 71-year-old cosmetic dentist from Houston, TX, during Week 3 of The Golden Bachelor's second season.
Terri had a memorable limo entrance with her puppet and is skilled in ventriloquism.
"I really love Terri, and I know that's probably an outlier a little bit, but I think that she's just very kind," Joan shared.
"You saw that on The Women Tell All. She kind of came to people's rescue, like, she was complimentary of [Nicolle Kate], which very few people were."
Joan also called Terri "funny," recalling how the bachelorette had brought a puppet with her to meet Mel on Night 1 of The Golden Bachelor's second season.

"I also think she's extremely bright. She's a dentist and I think she's beautiful. And you know what? She's 72-years-old! Can you believe that?!"
Joan noted how the majority fans "liked a bit of an older" The Golden Bachelor star in Gerry Turner and so they'd probably feel the same way about an older female lead.
"Everybody loved Gerry, and they loved that he was more of a grandfather figure," Joan explained.
"He was a little in the older age bracket, and [they loved] that he was a little more fuddy-duddy and it made people think, 'Oh, he needs us to find love! He's never going to find it on his own.'"

Joe laughed and said Joan's words were ringing "so true" to him.
"Yeah, I'm not sure Terri gives that same energy, but I like that she's a little older so they could cast some older men for her," Joan acknowledged.
"You almost want somebody that needs help, like [Diane Firmani]. How about Diane?! She was the best in the world! She was so, so, so sweet. Maybe she'd be a great one."
Mel ousted Diane, a 71-year-old librarian from Wasilla, AK, in the second episode. She was memorably very athletic and had a short haircut, which made her stand out from the other ladies.
Joan concluded that Bachelor Nation needs someone they can be "rooting for" to find The One.
"We need that in the next Bachelorette," Joan concluded.
The finale of Mel's The Golden Bachelor season will air as a two-hour event on Wednesday, November 12 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
