The 24-year-old Counting On star and Jeremy, 30, have revealed they are expecting their first child together.

"The past 14 months have been the best of our lives as we have had the wonderful privilege of beginning our journey through life together in marriage," the couple said in a statement on their official website.

"We both looked forward to the joys of marriage but neither one of us fully understood just how amazing the start of this journey would be. Truly, the Lord's mercies are new every morning! Now, the journey has taken an exciting turn: We are expecting our first child!"

Jinger married Jeremy in early November 2016 and decided to take his last name.

The couple exchanged vows in a romantic wedding ceremony at John Brown University's Cathedral of the Ozarks in Siloam Springs, AR, in front of approximately 1,000 family and friends.

"We are praising God for this beautiful gift and ask that you join us in praying for a safe and healthy pregnancy," Jinger and Jeremy added in their statement.

When making their pregnancy announcement, the pair also shared Psalm 139:13-14, which praises God for His works and how children are "fearfully and wonderfully made" in each mother's womb.

Jinger is one of Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar's 19 kids. She is the sixth eldest child and has been anticipating motherhood since her July 2016 engagement.

"I love kids," Jeremy, a former soccer player, previously told Us Weekly. "I really share Jinger's love for children."

Jinger and Jeremy met in May 2015 through his friend and now brother-in-law Ben Seewald. Jeremy popped the question just one month after the lovebirds had announced their courtship.

Her family's reality series, Counting On, returns to TLC on Monday, February 26.
