Jason Aldean has proposed to the mistress who broke up his marriage -- former American Idol contestant Brittany Kerr.

Six months after confirming he's dating Kerr despite backlash and two years after he was caught cheating on his now ex-wife Jessica Ussery, Aldean is engaged, People reported.

The country star, 37, reportedly popped the question to Kerr, 25, at the San Diego Zoo on Tuesday.

The following day, Kerr posted a picture of herself at the zoo on Instagram, evasively writing, "My man did it again. Today was amazing #sandiegozoo #myeverything."

Aldean was photographed kissing Kerr in a West Hollywood bar back in September 2012. Although both individuals expressed regret and embarrassment at the time, Aldean filed for divorce from Ussery seven months later in April 2013 after 12 years of marriage. Aldean and Ussery have two young daughters together.

Once news of Aldean and Kerr's romantic relationship circulated in March, the country singer was heavily criticized for his actions.

"So sick of people judging me and @brittanylkerr over things they know nothing about. I have made mistakes but I am a better person because of it, and wouldn't change a thing," Aldean reportedly tweeted at the time.

"I'm happier than I have ever been, so thank u to all the people who support us. We are happy and life goes on. It's time to move on people. #aldeanarmy #oldnews #timetomoveon."

Kerr is a former NBA cheerleader for the Charlotte Bobcats who appeared as a contestant on Idol's eleventh season but didn't make it into the semifinals.
