Greg Plitt was struck and killed by a Metrolink train in Burbank, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Transit Services Bureau confirmed.
The actor, model, and well-known fitness instructor was 37.
Plitt was hit just after 4 p.m. Saturday on Front Street, north of the Metrolink station.
"He had on all black. The train went by. I saw him stumble over the tracks. He had a camcorder in his hand," Metrolink passenger Victor Crowell told KABC-TV in Los Angeles.
Plitt reportedly was with friends who may have been shooting a video at the time of the incident, which is currently under investigation.
Variety said Plitt was a former Calvin Klein model and star of Bravo's reality show "Work Out." He also was to appear in the network's reality series "Friends to Lovers," which premieres Monday, and had a small role in the 2013 boxing comedy "Grudge Match."
