The former sixth-season Idol finalist will be the subject of Dancing to the Music in My Head: Memoirs of the People's Idol, a new tell-all book slated to hit bookstands on January 20.

Dancing to the Music in My Head: Memoirs of the People's Idol will include a recount of Malakar's sixth-season audition process; a week-by-week analysis of his time on Idol; a recouting of pointers and inspiration he received from sixth-season musical mentors Diana Ross and Jennifer Lopez; a look at why "Crying Girl" Ashley Ferl became so emotional when Malakar crooned; and why an "anti-fan" went on a sixteen day hunger strike to vote Malakar off the show.

Malakar finished seventh on American Idol's 2006 season.

In addition to his Dancing to the Music in My Head: Memoirs of the People's Idol book, Malakar is also releasing a five-track EP of the same name on January 20 to coincide with the memoir.

"Dancing to the Music in My Head" -- which is being released by The Label Record Company -- will feature the songs "A Guy Like Me," "I Got It For You," "A Quintessential Lullaby," "Rainy Days" and "Tell Me Who I Am."
