While Longoria -- the producer behind NBC's Ready for Love -- denied rumors in late April she was romantically involved with Arguello and claimed they were just good friends, the two have now announced they are an item.

"I think that's why our relationship is so special -- we truly started as friends," Longoria told People.

Longoria and the entrepreneur and philanthropist reportedly began dating just recently although rumors swirled about their relationship several months ago when Ready for Love was airing. According to the magazine, they met last year when he was cast on the show, which got pulled off the air after its third episode this spring due to low ratings.

"I guess we have the press to thank for pushing us to see something we didn't see!" Longoria joked.

Longoria, 38, has reportedly already introduced Arguello, 34, to her family and accompanied him on a trip to Honduras to check out the school and homes he's built for impoverished families in his community.

"Eva and Ernesto are a perfect match. They both speak Spanish, have the same religion and the same cultural background," a source told People. "Their friendship and their similar philanthropic interests laid the foundation for their new romance. They're very much in love."

Although Ready for Love was taken off the air, NBC continued releasing the season's remaining episodes online and via On-Demand. Arguello's search for love ended with him picking former Miss USA Shandi Finnessey, however, the pair reportedly split after a couple months in 2012.
