Reality programming seems to be the name of the game this summer and NBC is apparently winning the game in a big way on Monday nights.

The Monday July 29th epsiode of NBC's “Dog Eat Dog” hit a new series high with a 5.4 rating/15 share helping the network charge past the competition for the16th time in 17 weeks with an average 4.4 rating and 13 share according to preliminary “fast nationals” in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research. "Dog Eat Dog”’s rating is a mere 0.1 behind the highest-rated reality telecast of the summer on any network. In the adults 18-49 demographic, NBC's 8PM aring of “Fear Factor” also hit a new current summer season high with a 4.4 rating/15 share

Further, both “Fear Factor” and “Dog Eat Dog” owned both the men and women’s 18-34 demos as well as the young adult categories. “Fear” took a commanding 42 percent lead over second place while “Dog” held an even stronger 50 percent lead over its closest competitor.
