"Something that was hard for me, and I didn't realize until I lived it, was that when you are waiting for your hometown -- and mine was last, there is, like, 7 days [of waiting]."

Dina added that before her week of waiting to be reunited with Grant during her hometown date in Chicago, IL, there was also a travel day and one date in Scotland where she "barely got to talk" or spend time with The Bachelor star.
"So you are talking [about]latest nine days when we didn't see each other," Dina recalled.
"We didn't talk, we don't have our phones, so you don't have anything to continue to foster that connection."
Dina joked that when she finally came face to face with Grant in Chicago, she "forgot we are dating."
"I thought, 'Could our relationship take the test of time?... Our connection isn't as strong as I thought it was,'" Dina shared.
"That was the first time where I was like, 'It may not be me.'"
Dina, a self-proclaimed "ice queen," also struggled to fully open up to Grant during The Bachelor process.
"I love to talk to new people, I am very warm. I love to meet new people and socialize," Dina explained.
"Getting to know the deep, real me, you are never going to see that unless I trust you, know you and love you. But with guys I've dated casually they say, 'Do you even have feelings? Why aren't you expressing yourself to me?' You don't deserve that, you don't know me."

Dina therefore noted of her relationship with Grant, "I don't think that I opened up quite as quickly as I could have at times."
But what appeared to really derail Grant and Dina's relationship was the fact her parents refused to meet Grant during the hometown date.

On The Bachelor's latest Season 29 episode, Dina explained to Grant at the beginning of her hometown date how he wouldn't be meeting her family because they're "very "traditional" and her dad is "very into the church" as a pastor and ordained deacon.
"Putting themselves out there is really difficult for them, so the idea of his daughter being with a man who's dating 25 women doesn't sit well with him," Dina told Grant, before adding, "[But] I don't want you to think that they have some issue with you, because they don't at all."
Grant found the news "disappointing" and "concerning" because he thought meeting Dina's family would grow their connection, and he ended up eliminating Dina in fourth place.
"Ultimately, I made the decision to not have them come because I didn't want the fighting and me having to convince them, 'Hey, I'm going to get engaged to this guy in two weeks' when I couldn't convince myself at that point," Dina explained.
"And I also didn't want to do that to them when they were at odds with one another."

Instead, Grant gave roses to Juliana Pasquarosa, Litia Garr and Zoe McGrady.
Even though Dina didn't find lasting love on The Bachelor, she hinted that she remains optimistic about finding her future husband.

Dina may even allow her father to play matchmaker.
"My dad likes to set people up," Dina said with a smile.
"My dad set up my oldest brother with someone in the Philippines that he adored and they have been married for 12 years so that worked out. So he thinks that he has the magic touch."
Dina therefore said her father is "always trying to" set her up, which means she has to "get ahead" of him and find a guy for herself.
"I don't know how. I don't know when," Dina confessed.
But looking back on her time on The Bachelor, Dina said it's probably best that she and Grant parted ways.
"Do I think that Grant ultimately was my person? No. That's okay," Dina conceded.
"I have to take everything I learned and make sure I'm open and vulnerable in my next relationship."
Dina insisted she will make a very loyal girlfriend and maybe she'll end up finding her man on Bachelor in Paradise's upcoming tenth season.

"But I don't know, I also haven't stalked any of the guys, so I have to do that."
