The Oscar winning actor and Anna became the fourth couple eliminated from the competition based on the combination of the Dancing with the Stars judges' scores and home viewer votes they had received over the last two weeks of performance shows.

Big Time Rush singer Carlos PenaVega and partner Witney Carson were the other couple in jeopardy prior to Gary and Anna's ouster, but they were not necessarily one of the bottom-two couples based on the judges' scores and America's votes.

Monday night's DWTS episode concluded with a different leaderboard topper after the celebrity and professional pairings each danced a tribute to their "Most Memorable Year."

Bindi Irwin, the daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, and partner Derek Hough finished in first place on the leaderboard after they received 28 out of 30 points from Dancing with the Stars judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Julianne Hough and Bruno Tonioli. The couple took the stage with a contemporary routine inspired by the year 2006, when her father passed away and it changed her life forever.

Second place was a three-way tie at 27 points for the following celebrities: Tamar Braxton, a singer, talk show host and sister of Toni Braxton; Internet sensation Hayes Grier; and Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter.

Tamar and partner Val Chmerkovskiy danced the rumba to represent 2012 when she almost lost her husband to blood clots in his lungs but ended up getting pregnant.

Hayes and partner Emma Slater performed a contemporary routine in memory of the year 2014 when he first became a social media star.

Nick and partner Sharna Burgess danced a jazz routine in tribute to 1992 when he joined the Backstreet Boys and found brothers in the guys.

Carlos and Witney finished the night in fifth place with 25 points after performing a waltz routine inspired by 2012 when he found hope in going to church and met his wife Alexa PenaVega after going through a dark time.

Sixth place on the judges' leaderboard went to train hero Alek Skarlatos and partner Lindsay Arnold. Alek and Lindsay danced the paso doble for the year 2015 when he recently traveled back to Oregon after the shooting at his community college. The tragedy followed his own experience of preventing a terrorist attack on a Paris-bound train.

Crooner Andy Grammer and partner Allison Holker landed in seventh place on the leaderboard. They earned 23 points from the judges after taking the stage with a cha cha performance which represented 2009, when his mother died of breast cancer.

On Andy and Allison's heels were Spy Kids star Alexa PenaVega and partner Mark Ballas in eighth place with 21 points. They danced a foxtrot inspired by the year 2000 when she booked her role on Spy Kids.

Celebrity chef Paula Deen and partner Louis van Amstel claimed ninth place on the leaderboard. Paula and Louis paid tribute to 1989 when she ended her 27-year marriage via a cha cha performance worthy of 18 points.

Gary and Anna finished in tenth -- and last place -- with 16 points for their jazz routine. The pair performed a dance for the year 1979 when he starred in The Buddy Holly Story. Gary also mentioned the terrible motorcycle accident he had been involved in that left him with head trauma.
