Dancing with the Stars featured a shocking double elimination heading into the Season 27 finals during Monday night's performance show on ABC.

Actor and Fuller House star Juan Pablo Di Pace and Bachelor in Paradise star Joe Amabile were sent packing, along with their respective professional partners, based on the combination of home viewer votes from last week and the scores provided by Dancing with the Stars judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli for Monday night's routines.

While many fans were surprised to see Joe and his professional partner Jenna Johnson come this far, the crowd booed loudly following the announcement of Juan Pablo and partner Cheryl Burke's ouster, as they had been frontrunners in the competition who had received a perfect score after perfect score.

Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron admitted Juan Pablo and Cheryl's elimination was a shocker. Carrie Ann said it was "wrong" to see this couple go with tears in her eyes, and Len pointed out there was "no justice" in the results.

"I just love dancing so much," Juan Pablo said with Cheryl on his arm. "At least I got to do it in front of millions of people with this beautiful girl."

Model and Cover Girl Alexis Ren and partner Alan Bersten were also in jeopardy of elimination prior to Juan Pablo and Joe's departures; however, they were not necessarily one of the bottom-three couples based on judges' scores and viewer votes.

Dancing with the Stars - The Semifinals

The Dancing with the Stars broadcast featured the six remaining couples each performing two dances in the hopes of making it to the finale, with the first being a dance dedicated to a meaningful person in each celebrity's life and the second being an improved encore performance selected by one of the judges.

Juan Pablo and Cheryl topped the judges' leaderboard in first place on Monday night with a total perfect score of 60 points. 

The couple first danced an Argentine tango dedicated to Juan Pablo's mother that received 30 points from the judges. Juan Pablo's mother was recently diagnosed with breast cancer but is a survivor, and the actor said he's inspired by her "warrior spirit."

For their second dance of the night, Bruno asked Juan Pablo and Cheryl to perform their salsa from Week 1 again. Bruno taught Juan Pablo how to work his shoulders and hips simultaneously, and the pair earned an additional 30 points for the routine.

Alexis and Alan finished the night in second place with a total score of 58 points.

Alexis and Alan initially danced a waltz that Alexis dedicated to Alan because he's been a huge part of her growth on the show. She said she "opened up [her] heart" to him and Alan has done nothing but teach and support her. They received 28 points for this performance.

And for Round 2, Bruno asked Alexis and Alan to reprise their jive from Week 1 because her steps were "a little fuzzy" at the beginning of the competition. The couple earned a perfect score of 30 points for this dance.

Actress and Harry Potter star Evanna Lynch and partner Keo Motsepe finished in third place on the judges' leaderboard with 58 total points.

Evanna and Keo initially took the stage with a contemporary routine that paid tribute to Simon Fitzmaurice, who directed Evanna's first movie. Evanna's close friend sadly passed away from ALS one year ago and she never got to say goodbye. The judges gave Evanna and Keo 30 points for this dance.

For judges' choice this week, Len wanted to see Evanna and Keo improve upon their Week 1 foxtrot. Len asked to see better footwork, frame and body contact. The couple earned 28 points for this routine.

Fourth place on the leaderboard belonged to singer and dancer Milo Manheim and partner Witney Carson with 55 total points.

Milo and Witney first danced an Argentine tango dedicated to his mother, Camryn Manheim, an actress and single mom who is "everything" to him. Milo wanted to show his mother how grateful he is for her, and he earned 27 points for the dance.

Milo and Witney later reprised their cha cha routine from Week 1. While he was good then, Carrie Ann pointed out Milo is "so much better now." She wanted him to be fully in control of their performance. With that being said, Milo and Witney received 28 points from the judges for this round.

Joe and Jenna claimed fifth place on the judges' leaderboard with 46 total points.

Joe and Jenna performed a 22-point worthy contemporary routine in honor of the women in Joe's life -- his mother, grandmother and girlfriend Kendall Long from The Bachelor.

Carrie Ann then requested Joe and Jenna recreate their quickstep from Week 1. Carrie Ann wanted Joe to work on his musicality and breathing. Joe did just that, as he and Jenna received their highest score of the season with 24 points.   

And finally, country music radio personality Bobby Bones and partner Sharna Burgess landed in sixth -- and last -- place on the leaderboard with a total score of 45 points.

Bobby and Sharna first performed a salsa dance dedicated to Bobby's loyal supporters and fans, whom he calls his "people." This dance racked in 21 points from the judges.

For the second round of competition, Len paid a visit to Bobby and Sharna and asked the couple to redo their jive from Week 1. Len wanted to see Bobby gain control and execute more "finesse." Bobby and Sharna lived up to Len's expectations, as they received 24 points for the routine.

The remaining four couples will compete for the mirrorball trophy next week on Dancing with the Stars.
