The actress and Facts of Life alum and Val were sent packing based on the combination of home viewer votes from last Tuesday night's show as well as the scores provided by Dancing with the Stars judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli on Monday night.

The other couple in jeopardy of elimination prior to Nancy and Val's exit was pop star Tinashe Kachingwe and partner Brandon Armstrong; however, they were not necessarily the other bottom-two couple based on judges' scores and America votes.

Dancing with the Stars - "Most Memorable Year"

Monday night's broadcast, dubbed "Most Memorable Year," featured each celebrity and professional pairing performing one dance in honor of each celebrity's most memorable year of his or her life.

Actor and Fuller House star Juan Pablo Di Pace and partner Cheryl Burke topped the judges' leaderboard in first place after receiving the season's first perfect score of 30 points.

Juan Pablo and Cheryl danced a samba, paying tribute to the year 1999 when he had moved from Buenos Aires to the United States in order to chase his dream of becoming an entertainer. Juan Pablo's dream became a reality in Los Angeles when he was cast in the film Mama Mia!.

Len gave the couple a standing ovation for their routine, saying no words were needed. Bruno gushed it was "one of the best sambas" he's ever seen in 27 seasons of the show, and then Carrie Ann noted Juan Pablo and Cheryl's performance was "off the charts."

Second place turned out to be a three-way tie on the leaderboard at 27 points among the following celebrities: Tinashe, singer and dancer Milo Manheim, and actress and Harry Potter star Evanna Lynch.

Tinashe and Brandon danced a rumba inspired by the year 2014, when she had released her debut album Aquarius. Tinashe also celebrated the support of her loving parents.

Len said it was Tinashe's best dance so far this season.

Milo and partner Witney Carson performed in memory of the year 2018, when Milo graduated from high school and his new movie was released.

Bruno said Milo and Witney were "throwing out ace after ace" during their jive routine.

And Evanna and partner Keo Motsepe took the stage with a Viennese waltz in honor of the year 2006, when Evanna booked her role in Harry Potter.

Carrie Ann complimented Evanna on giving "so many dimensions of the dance," such as "power, gliding and demure," while Len called it "a magic performance."

DeMarcus Ware, a pro football player and Super Bowl champion, and Alexis Ren, a model and Cover Girl, tied for fifth place on the leaderboard after receiving 26 points apiece on Monday night.

DeMarcus and partner Lindsay Arnold danced an Argentine tango in memory of the year 2016, when DeMarcus won the Super Bowl with his football team.

DeMarcus proudly remembers his family -- including his son and adopted daughter -- cheering him on in the stands.

He explained everything in his life finally came together that year and 12 years of hard work had finally paid off.

Alexis and partner Alan Bersten performed a contemporary routine dedicated to her beloved mother, who had passed away following a difficult cancer battle.

Alexis looked back on Mother's Day in 2014, when her mom was diagnosed and informed she only had one week left to live.

Seventh place on the leaderboard went to Mary Lou Retton, a former Olympic gymnast with five medals, and partner Sasha Farber.

The pair earned 24 points for their Viennese waltz routine that paid tribute to the year 1984, when Mary Lou won the gold medal at The Olympic Games in Los Angeles, CA.

But six weeks before she competed, Mary Lou suffered a knee injury and was advised by doctors not to compete. However, Mary Lou was determined to win.

Country music radio personality Bobby Bones and partner Sharna Burgess finished in eighth place on the judges' leaderboard with 23 points after taking the stage with a contemporary routine inspired by the year 1998, when Bobby became the first member of his family to graduate high school.

Bobby had a difficult childhood, as he recalled not even having a bedroom to sleep in. His mother apparently struggled with addiction when she was a teenager.

Nancy and Val placed ninth on the leaderboard with their 22-point worthy rumba routine.

Nancy and Val danced in honor of the year 2006, when Nancy completed her family. Between 2003 and 2006, Nancy had moved from Los Angeles to a ranch in Texas, and she welcomed two wonderful children.

Actor and country music singer John Schneider and partner Emma Slater claimed tenth place on the leaderboard after dancing a waltz routine that earned 21 points from the judges.

John and Emma performed in memory of the year 2016, when John and his family lost everything in a Louisiana flood.

However, John fell in love that year but also lost his mother. The performance was in his mother's honor.

And finally, Bachelor in Paradise star Joe Amabile and partner Jenna Johnson landed in eleventh -- and last -- place on the leaderboard with 18 points.

Joe and Jenna performed a Viennese waltz, paying tribute to the year 2018, when he competed on The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise 5 and fell in love with his now-girlfriend, Kendall Long.
