Dancing with the Stars' Robert Herjavec and his pro partner Kym Johnson engaged in a steamy kiss during Monday night's performance show, so now they have everyone wondering, was there passion behind it?

"It was just part of the dance!" Johnson, 38, told Us Weekly after the live broadcast during which she performed a contemporary routine with Herjavec set to the song "Champagne Kisses" by Jessie Ware.

Herjavec, a 51-year-old star on Shark Tank, insisted the kiss was planned as requested by home viewers, who were in charge of each pair's creative direction this week.

"We're professional dancers," he told Us, adding however, "We were just in the moment... I'm just creating beautiful moments for the audience!"

But the big kiss in which they wrapped their arms tight around each other mid-dance apparently wasn't actually rehearsed.

"We just thought, 'Let's see how we feel on the night,' and that's what we did," Johnson said. "We just -- it took me by surprise because I didn't know if he was going to do it or not."

The rumored couple's relationship has blossomed from the start of Dancing with the Stars' twentieth season. Herjavec even admitted during last night's show their bond has become stronger than he ever could have anticipated.

"Kym and I have genuinely liked each other from the moment we met, but I think this is a whole other level," Herjavec told producers in a video package that aired prior to the couple taking the stage.

A source told Us that although it's unclear whether Herjavec and Johnson are really dating, they were "definitely attracted to each other from the get-go."

Herjavec recently split from his wife Diane Plese after 24 years of marriage.
