Dancing with the Stars 5 will debut with two 90-minute performance episodes on Monday, September 24 and Tuesday, September 25 that will both air at 8PM ET/PT.  The following night, ABC will cap off the show's fifth-season premiere week with a special Wednesday at 8PM ET/PT broadcast of Dancing with the Stars 5's first one-hour results show.

Dancing with the Stars' fifth season will settle into its regular time periods the following week, with 90-minute performance episodes airing Mondays at 8PM ET beginning October 1 and one-hour results shows airing Tuesdays at 9PM ET beginning October 2.  (Although last fall's Dancing with the Stars edition aired on a Tuesday/Wednesday schedule and Fox's American Idol competitor won't return until January, ABC had already previously announced plans to keep this fall's fifth season on the same Idol-avoiding Monday/Tuesday schedule that last spring's fourth season utilized.)

Similar to last spring, Dancing with the Stars 5's 90-minute Monday broadcasts also serve as the lead-in for The Bachelor, which will premiere its eleventh installment on Monday, September 24 at 9:30PM ET.

However unlike last spring, ABC plans to run only three weeks of supersized 90-minute The Bachelor episodes.  While Dancing with the Stars 5's Monday night broadcasts will remain 90 minutes throughout the fall, The Bachelor's eleventh edition will move to Mondays at 10PM ET/PT and settle back into the reality franchise's traditional one-hour broadcast format beginning October 15.

Samantha Who? -- a new half-hour Christina Applegate sitcom that had originally been announced as Sam I Am back in May-- will air in the half-hour period between Dancing with the Stars' fifth season 90-minute performance episodes and The Bachelor's one-hour episodes beginning October 15.

Dancing with the Star's two-hour fifth-season finale is scheduled to air Tuesday, November 27 at 8PM ET/PT and will be immediately followed by the premiere of Cashmere Mafia -- a new drama from former Sex In The City executive producer Darren Star -- at 10PM ET/PT.
