Dancing with the Stars' third-season celebrity participant Willa Ford married hockey star Mike Modano on Saturday, her manager confirmed to People over the weekend.

Ford, a 26-year-old actress and singer, and Modano, a 37-year-old center for the NHL's Dallas Stars, tied the knot on Saturday in an early evening ceremony in-front of 75 guests at a private Athens, TX ranch, People reported.

"I'm really one of those old-fashioned Southern girls who wants to get married, have a little time as newlyweds and then have babies," Ford told People.

Following an on-and-off relationship that lasted four years, Modano popped the question to Ford in Dallas last Thanksgiving and the couple announced plans to wed after the 2006-2007 NHL season ended.

"[He's] calm, cool, collected and very focused," Ford told People after the engagement.  "He grounds me."

Ford and professional partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy -- who had played coy with romantic relationship reports that emerged during their Dancing with the Stars run -- were the fifth couple eliminated from the ABC show's Fall 2006 edition.

"Everybody thought it was going to be Max, [but] Max is [just] a great friend," Ford told Extra a few days after she and Modano had announced their November engagement.

However Ford's appearance on the reality series rekindled her career -- leading to a starring role in the Anna Nicole Smith biopic that aired earlier this year.  She recently concluded filming the independent thriller Impulsive, People reported.

This is the first marriage for both Ford and Modano, who bought a home together in Dallas earlier this year.
