USA Network has announced it's ordered a second season of the hit reality series Chrisley Knows Best, which stars self-made millionaire Todd Chrisley, an outlandish and overprotective "patriarch of perfection," and his seemingly perfect Southern family.

"We knew from the moment we met Todd there was no other character quite like him and whether or not you agree with his parenting style, he has certainly struck a chord with our viewers as their new guilty pleasure," USA executive Heather Olander said in a statement.

"We're excited to continue the laughs and be there for more genuine family moments with Todd and his family in season two."

The network has ordered 12 new episodes of Chrisley Knows Best, which chronicles the lives of Todd, his wife Julie, his five children all varying in age -- Lindsie, Kyle, Chase, Savannah, and Grayson -- and his two baby grandchildren.

Chrisley Knows Best premiered in March and will air its first-season finale next week on Tuesday, April 22 at 10PM ET/PT.

In the finale episode, Todd will make a bet with his wife that he can throw a party for their granddaughter Chloe's first birthday in the same great fashion Julie can. According to the network, "He soon realizes the hard way that planning a party with cupcakes and a petting zoo is not as easy as Julie makes it look."

USA Network announced in December it had ordered eight episodes of Chrisley Knows Best's first season.
