Dancing with the Stars contestant and former The Bachelor star Chris Soules definitely isn't happy about his performance with pro partner Witney Carson on Monday night, but one thing made him feel better.

Despite being grumpy about landing in last place on the judges' leaderboard last night with his 21-point worthy cha cha, Soules told E! News he's happy his new caring fiancee, Whitney Bischoff, is waiting in the wings to comfort him.

"The first thing she did was send me a text after [my dance] and said, 'Eff the judges, you did a great job!'" Soules said after Monday night's performance show.

"She was in the audience. It's great to have her here. I love to have her here, especially when I do well. And, you know, she's going to be there for me tonight when I'm not the happiest I've been because of the scoring end of things. So it's nice to have her there for me and I know she's proud of me either way."

During the interview, Carson demanded that Soules not have a pity party for himself later that night.

"What do you want me to say?! I'm not happy with my performance!" a frustrated Soules laughed. "But I'm going to get better next week."

Soules admitted to E! News it's "scary" to be on the stage when an elimination is in process.

"It made me realize how badly I want to be successful at this," Soules noted.

"We're just going to give it everything we have," Carson explained. "I told Chris, 'Take all this energy, all this frustration that you have, and turn it into positive energy and just work extra hard so that next week the judges are super impressed -- so that you feel proud of yourself. And that's all you can do.'"

At least one thing is for sure: Soules enjoys dancing "much more" than he enjoyed dating 30 women at once.

Soules proposed to Bischoff at the conclusion of The Bachelor's nineteenth season. They are currently living in Los Angeles together for the show but have the intention of moving to Arlington, IA, soon.
