Chris Harrison claims ABC is close to crowning its next The Bachelor star.

"We are very close but despite rumors we have not selected new Bachelor yet," The Bachelor host wrote in a Friday post on his Twitter account.  "Stay tuned."

In addition, Harrison said former The Bachelorette fifth-season suitors Reid Rosenthal, Kiptyn Locke and Jake Pavelka are "obviously" all candidates to star in The Bachelor's upcoming fourteenth installment.

"But there are others in the running as well," Harrison wrote. "I know you want answers and you'll get them soon."

While Rosenthal, Locke and Pavelka were all rejected by The Bachelorette star Jillian Harris, they each made memorable appearances as suitors during the show's fifth season.

Locke finished as the runner-up to Ed Swiderski -- who got engaged to Harris during The Bachelorette's final fifth-season Rose Ceremony, which aired this summer.

Although Rosenthal had been eliminated by Harris during the penultimate Rose Ceremony, that didn't prevent him from returning during the finale to profess his love for her.  She rejected him for a second time.

Similar to Rosenthal, Pavelka reappeared on The Bachelorette after being rejected by Harris -- however it wasn't to try and win her back.

Instead, Pavelka warned Harris about fellow suitor Wes Hayden, claiming he had a girlfriend back home.  Hayden subsequently denied the accusations when confronted by Harris and Pavelka and reiterated his denial following his ouster.

ABC announced in May that The Bachelor's fourteenth season will premiere in midseason -- presumably early January -- and air in the Mondays at 8PM ET/PT timeslot Dancing with the Stars' ninth-season performance episodes will occupy this fall.
