Chris Harrison isn't exactly dismissing allegations Peter Weber was an indecisive and confusing The Bachelor star -- in fact, the franchise's longtime host is calling him out on "misleading" behavior on Season 24.

Peter gushed about so many women during his The Bachelor edition it was arguably difficult to keep track of whom he really liked and was developing strong feelings for.

Peter, for instance, told Sydney Hightower she was the best kisser in his group of women and then eliminated her shortly afterwards, and fans were surprised to see Victoria Paul go because Peter seemed so sure their future together could be bright.

In addition, the Bachelor admitted he was "in love" with Victoria Fuller during Fantasy Suites only to oust her as well.

"I can see how it would be misleading to the women," Chris, 48, told Entertainment Tonight.

"When a guy looks you in the eye and says, 'You're perfect, you don't have anything to worry about, I love you, I want to spend the rest of my life with you, there's nothing wrong with you, you're the most perfect human being. You're a unicorn'... I can see where that would be misleading!"

However, Chris gave Peter props for truly following his heart throughout the whole process.

"I really, truly know that he felt that and believed it in the moment," Chris said.

"And as a hard time as we gave Ben Higgins for saying 'I love you' to two women, that really pales in comparison to what Peter says."

As fans probably recall, Ben told both Lauren Bushnell and JoJo Fletcher he loved them before choosing and proposing marriage to Lauren in the end. (Ben and Lauren later split).

Peter admitted in a confessional during Fantasy Suite week in Australia he was "in love" with all three of his remaining women at the time -- Victoria F, Hannah Ann Sluss and Madison Prewett.

However, Peter appeared to only tell Hannah Ann and Madison he was "falling" in love with them, and editing has yet to show him telling anyone he's "in love."

Last month, Peter admitted to ET he's developed "some tough skin" as a result of criticism he's received for his actions on The Bachelor.

"It's too bad a lot of the criticism and a lot of hate that's kind of been kind of coming out," Peter noted.

"I just think there's no place for that and there's too much of that right now, and I wish that people could more focus on spreading love and just more positivity and not so much negative stuff because again... we're all human."

Peter added at the time, "And I know there's a lot of opinions about a lot of the women on the show, a lot of opinions about me. You know, we're just doing our best, and we sign up for this type of experience and you hope for the best."

The Bachelor is heading into its two-night finale event for Season 24 on Monday, March 9 and Tuesday, March 10 on ABC.

Fans last saw Hannah Ann and Madison accept roses from Peter after Fantasy Suites, but Madison did so reluctantly.

Madison is still reeling from the fact Peter admitted to being "intimate" with one or two women in Fantasy Suites.

The virgin bachelorette felt betrayed and slighted since she had warned Peter before they traveled to Australia it would be hard for her to continue with the process and get engaged if he chose to sleep with someone else.

It remains to be seen whether Madison quit the show or Peter's fate stayed in his own hands.
