Cheryl Burke may no longer be a candidate to be the next Bachelorette.

While the Dancing with the Stars professional had revealed late last month she would be interested in starring in the next edition of The Bachelorette, she has since recently begun dating Canadian-born NHL star Joffrey Lupul, Us Weekly reported.

Burke and Lupul, who are both 28-years-old, reportedly had dinner together at Mercato di Vetro in Los Angeles on July 12 after flirtatiously tweeting back and forth online. According to another Us source, they were spotted holding hands at their table and sharing a kiss when Burke got up to use the ladies room.

The couple reportedly met last month at the 2012 NHL Awards in Las Vegas -- where Burke had presented an award and the Toronto Maple Leafs player had been a finalist for one as well -- and clicked right off the bat, resulting in an exchange of contact information.

Prior to meeting Lupul, Burke believed The Bachelorette would be a great way to date guys she'd be attracted to because she's a self-described naturally shy person.

"I'll be standing a corner, not approaching anybody. I'm that girl," Burke, the two-time Dancing with the Stars champion, told People last month.

"It would be fun to have a pool of guys around you and getting to know someone. I think if I had people setting me up with different guys, I think it would be easier for me to meet someone to date."
