Cameron Mathison currently has what he described as a "really hectic" schedule that has him acting on All My Children, hosting I Wanna Be a Soap Star's fourth season, and competing as a Dancing with the Stars fifth-season celebrity participant.

"At first it was a little bit overwhelming, but it's kind of energizing," Mathison told Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa during Thursday morning's broadcast of Live with Regis and Kelly.  "It's become something that I really look forward to.  Now I kind of know how much I have to do, and I just kind of go out there and do it.  When you have an opportunity like this, you just kind of go out there and do it."

While juggling the three jobs at once has yet to take it's toll on Mathison, he said this week will be even more crazy due to SoapNet's live Tuesday night broadcast of I Wanna Be a Soap Star's fourth season finale.

"It's a hard week," said Mathison.  "Wednesday, Thursday, Friday I shoot five shows of All My Children, which is usually around 110 pages [of script].  Then I fly on Friday nights to L.A., rehearse Saturday and Sunday for Dancing; live show Monday night for Dancing; live [results] show Tuesday night.  After the live show Tuesday night this week, I'll go straight to the live finale of I Wanna Be a Soap Star, then do a red-eye, land Wednesday morning in New York and go right back to All My Children."

I Wanna Be a Soap Star 4 followed 10 aspiring actors competing for a role on NBC's Days of Our Lives, and Mathison said he likes serving as the SoapNet reality show's host.

"This is the first season that the audience actually gets a say in who wins the 13-week contract and role on Days of our Lives," he said.  "It's one of my favorite jobs... jobs because I've got 14 of them."

Mathison noted that he suffered from a degenerate bone disease that required him to wear braces on his legs until he was 7-years-old, which makes the fact he's still two-stepping on the show an even bigger accomplishment.  However instead of the difficulty that comes with learning a new routine every week, Mathison said he's been battling another side effect from participating in the show.

"I have lost a little bit of weight, but I have to tell you one of my goals is to try and keep my weight up," he explained.  "I don't want to get too thin.  So I've been eating like six times a day, protein shakes, that kind of stuff."

Mathison is paired with Edyta Sliwinska -- the only professional dancer to appear in all five installments of Dancing with the Stars.

"It makes me feel really kind of guilty because I knew about this schedule.  I signed up for this, I knew I'd be flying back and forth, and I'm excited.  Edyta didn't," said Mathison.  "She just got me as a partner and the poor woman has to take the red-eye back and forth cross country... She's a great choreographer."

Since Sliwinska's husband -- fellow Dancing with the Stars professional partner Alec Mazo -- was eliminated in the first week of the competition with supermodel Josie Maran, Mathison said the two dancers as well as his wife have become a good support system.

"The four of us have hung out together and we're really comfortable together," he said.
