Bravo has announced it has ordered the tentatively titled The Rachel Zoe Project, a new docu-reality series that will follow celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe and her team of fashion experts as they attempt to take their business to the next level.

The Rachel Zoe Project will offer viewers a behind-the-scenes look at Zoe and her team -- consisting of her husband Roger and fellow fashion experts Taylor and Brad -- as they attempt to put Zoe at the forefront of a new business while also insuring she's still able to help her highfaluting celebrity clients, such as Nicole Richie, Britney Spears, Keira Knightley, Lindsay Lohan, Cameron Diaz and Kate Beckinsale.

While Zoe and Richie -- who began working together in 2003 -- are no longer on speaking terms, Zoe credits the former The Simple Life star for her mainstream success.

"Nicole is now what people refer to as the big thing that happened," Zoe told The New York Times Magazine in September 2007.  "Everything went from nowhere to everywhere. Nicole was about creating a look. Because of her fashion sense, which was really my fashion sense, she became famous. It was a huge moment: Nicole became a style icon without being a star."

"Around three years ago, everything began to change," Zoe continued.  "The nature of what -- or who -- is a celebrity has expanded. We aren't saving lives here, but we are creating images, and images create opportunities in a lot of areas."

Zoe's "brand agent" Todd Shemarya told The Times he wanted to transform his client from a fashion expert mostly recognized in tabloid magazines for her work with celebrities to a television star, and even teased that they were negotiating a deal with Bravo.

"I would never do anything like a reality show with any of my clients," Shemarya told The Times, apparently having a change of heart since then.  "Too much information cheapens the brand. And you can go from high to low, but it's very difficult to go from low to high. That's one of the challenges with Rachel."

The Rachel Zoe Project is produced by Original Media for Bravo. Charlie Corwin, Jamie Patricof and Zoe are executive producers.
