Boy Band's first season has wrapped and America has created its official five-member boy band.

Boy Band aired its finale broadcast Thursday night on ABC and announced the five boys whom home viewers had voted into the band following last week's Top 8 performance show.

The official band is comprised of Sergio Calderon, a 16-year-old from Redwood City, CA; Brady Tutton, a 15-year-old from Shorewood, WI; Michael Conor, a 17-year-old from Cleveland, OH; Drew Ramos, a 19-year-old from Bronx, NY; and Chance Perez, a 19-year-old from Seal Beach, CA.

Boy Band architect Nick Carter revealed the boy band's name is "In Real Life" because he said the singers' journey on the show is about to take a life of its own and it's about to get real for them.

The group won a recording contract with Hollywood Records. Sergio, Brady, Michael Conor, Drew, and Chance also got to debut their new single "Eyes Closed" through a live performance on last night's show.

"I'm just so thankful for all these guys, they've made it so much fun. And for Tim Davis for mentoring us, and for my parents for putting up with me," Brady said after making the band.

"Don't give up on your dreams," Sergio said in tears.

"I can't believe I'm a rapper in a boy band! This is insane!" gushed Michael Conor.

"Eyes Closed" was written by songwriter Justin Tranter, who is behind 10 major pop hits that have gone platinum -- including "Cake By the Ocean" by DNCE, "Sorry" by Justin Bieber, "Can't Keep My Hands To Myself" by Selena Gomez, and "Issues" by Julia Michaels.

The three boys who were eliminated from the Top 8 and came very close to making the band were Marcus Pendleton, a 16-year-old from Nashville, TN; Mikey Jimenez, a 17-year-old from East Los Angeles, CA; and Jaden Gray, a 16-year-old from Hawthorne, CA.

The entire Top 8 recorded vocals for "Eyes Closed" but knew only the Final 5 boys would end up on the track.

Boy Band's finale also featured performances by the Backstreet Boys, James Arthur, Bell Biv DeVoe, the show's host Rita Ora, Sofia Carson, and Nick's fellow Boy Band architects Timbaland and Emma Bunton.
