Big Brother featured Rick Devens blowing up the house by using his "Diamond Power of Veto" power to save Dee Valladares and nominate Kamuela "Kamu" Kirk in her place, completely disarming the HoH, Yash Patel.

The Big Brother broadcast began on Day 39 after Yash had nominated Dee, Haley Thogmartin, and Angela Murray for eviction.

Yash said he didn't know whom his target was, but as long as one of them goes home this week, he'd consider his HoH reign a success.

Angela was crying about her nomination, and Dee vented in the Diary Room about how Yash had just made "a $750,000 mistake" because she was going to do everything possible to kick him out of the game in the near future.

Meanwhile, Kamu was proud of himself for planting seeds with Yash and influencing him to put Dee on the chopping block. Kamu thought Dee was sneaky and untrustworthy, and so he felt she needed to go.

Haley talked to Yash about how she was well aware she was "an easy target," but Yash told the Big Brother cameras that he knew Haley was a competitive threat as well as a free agent -- which he could eventually use to his advantage.

Mallory Aurichio was then shown celebrating the fact that two "Icons" were on the block. She thought they had too much power and had been controlling the game for too long.

After Dee cried to Barrett Pfeiffer about being in jeopardy of eviction and admitted she was "so pissed off" at Yash, Drew Campbell praised Yash for "taking a big swing."

Yash let Drew know that Dee had thrown his name out there and accused him of being all over the place and messy.

"I'm going to have to do some damage control with Dee because I don't want her going this week, but I have to make sure that we're good going forward in this game," Drew told the Big Brother cameras.

Kamu -- who acknowledged that several alliances were "dead" at this point -- pitched Dee as "the more dangerous player" to Yash, who agreed that Dee was "mischievous" and had strangely lied about the Lyric Medeiros vote.

Devens told the Big Brother cameras that he could use his "Diamond Power of Veto" to pull Dee off the block and flip Yash's HoH on its head.

"But that could blow up a lot of the alliances keeping me safe... The Idols, The Crossovers, The Toolshed, The Red Corner, and The Wolfpack. And recently, I joined The Primaries with Yash, Kamu and [Taylor Brown]," Devens explained, adding that he also formed The Bermuda Triangle with Yash and Kamu.

"But by far, the person I'm most loyal to in this game is Dee, so I have to consider, 'Is saving my No. 1 worth it?'"

Devens said he hoped Dee would win the Power of Veto so that he could save his special Diamond power for a do-or-die time.

Kamu talked to Yash about how they should honor their Final 3 alliance with Devens, and the guys solidified a Final 2 pact.

"We can help each other get all the way to the end," Yash told the Big Brother cameras.

Meanwhile, Drew was still loyal to The Crossovers alliance with Devens, Dee, Barrett, and Angela.

Drew let Dee know that Yash was allowing Kamu to tell him what to do, and so Dee called Kamu "a piece of sh-t" for betraying her. Dee promised Drew that she was ready to take Kamu on.

It then became time to pick players for the Power of Veto competition.

In addition to the HoH and the three nominees, Melody Morris and Barrett were selected by random draw to compete.

Melody was prepared to fight for her F.A.P. alliance with Mallory, Drew and Barrett, but Barrett seemed excited to go to battle for The Crossovers alliance.

"I'm playing this for Angela and Dee!" Barrett noted in the Big Brother Diary Room, before learning from Drew that he could end up being Yash's replacement nominee.

The houseguests then traveled to 1950, where the participating players competed in the classic Otev competition.

In each round, Otev, who dubbed himself "The Belligerent B-Movie Blob," gave a clue and instructed the players to look for a headshot of a fellow Big Brother houseguest who fit that description or was the answer.

The Big Brother players had to race through slime to find the correct name, and the last person to climb to the top of the slides with the right answer would be eliminated. If a player answered incorrectly, he or she would also be out. The last person standing would win the golden Power of Veto.

Angela was the first person out, and she was quickly followed by Dee, which really disappointed Devens.

The competition ultimately came down to Yash vs. Barrett, and in the end, Yash won the Golden Power of Veto.

Yash said he had no desire to change his own nominations, and so Angela said she was hoping for a miracle.

Kamu boasted about how it should be "smooth sailing ahead," and Dee lamented about how she really wanted to stay in the game but felt like the walls were closing in around her.

Devens then started thinking about whether he should use his Diamond power to save Dee, which would allow him to name the replacement nominee -- not Yash.

"What if we take The Crossovers alliance -- me, Dee, Angela, Drew and Barrett -- and bring in an extra or two, like Mallory or Melody, and declare war on everybody else?" Devens wondered.

"If I can use this power to consolidate a seven-person alliance, that's a game-winning move. I can blindside Yash and Kamu. I think it might be time to blow everything up, take Dee down and put Kamu up. This is the move!"

Devens, who reminded viewers that he's always loyal to his No. 1, told Dee all about his plan, and she was ecstatic.

Dee gushed to the Big Brother cameras, "This is absolutely Kamu's own doing because we could've worked together, and he has no idea what's coming for him. I feel like a little kid on Christmas Eve!"

Dee told Devens that she'd blindly trust him with her whole life, and then she told Angela about Devens' power and asked her to trust them.

Kamu then let Devens know that Dee was on his radar, and Devens acted surprised by that. This confirmed everything Devens needed to know, and Devens told the Big Brother cameras that Kamu had just sealed his fate.

Devens therefore set out to find support and build a new alliance with The Crossovers plus Mallory and Melody.

Mallory was flattered that Devens was talking game with her, but she said she was going to stick to her own strategy and remain loyal to F.A.P.

Melody was more onboard with the new alliance because she admitted it would take the majority of the house to take Yash and Kamu on.

The group of seven called themselves The Mosh Pit, and Devens was jumping for joy about the upcoming Veto Meeting.

At the Veto Meeting, Yash announced he had decided not to use the Power of Veto.

Just when Yash thought the Veto Meeting was over, Devens interrupted him, and apologized for doing so.

"This Veto Meeting has only just begun," Devens began.

Yash looked completely shocked because he thought Devens was his boy and that they were working together.

"I have the Diamond Power of Veto, which allows me to pull one of the nominees off the block -- and gives me the power to choose a replacement nominee," Devens explained.

Yash appeared to swallow hard, and then Devens -- in typical dramatic fashion -- announced how he had a dream about Survivor host Jeff Probst telling him to protect his Survivor allies.

As a result, Devens used the Diamond Power of Veto to save Dee from the chopping block.

After Kamu shook his head in disbelief, Devens named Kamu -- "the biggest threat in the game" -- the replacement nominee.

Devens was proud of himself for taking "a huge risk" and playing a "fearless" game, and Yash suddenly regretted not accepting Dee's $5,000 bribe.

"It took a Diamond Power of Veto to get me on the block. Hey, Devens, thanks. You think I'm the biggest threat in the game? I think you're right," Kamu said in the Big Brother Diary Room.

"I'm going to go out there and win the Blockbuster, but even if I don't, I'm going to make sure I have an army of people behind me, ready to keep me safe, so that I can go after you and your fellow icons."
