Big Brother determined the week's two official nominations after the Power of Veto competition during Wednesday night's sixteenth broadcast of the show's sixteenth season on CBS.

As the week's only remaining Head of Household, Frankie Grande ended up nominating Amber Borzotra and Jocasta Odom for eviction.

The original four nominees, prior to the "Battle of the Block" competition, were Jocasta, Victoria Rafaeli, Christine Brecht, and Nicole Franzel. Dethroned HoH Zach Rance had nominated Christine for not helping out their alliance and Nicole just for being Christine's best friend. Frankie's two original nominees were Jocasta and Victoria, however, his only intention was to backdoor Amber.

However, after winning the western-themed Power of Veto competition, Hayden Voss took Victoria off the chopping block. Frankie was then forced to name a replacement nominee and he selected Amber because he wasn't sure if he could trust her. Amber acknowledged she totally saw it coming.

Prior to the PoV meeting, Christine expressed how much she hated Zach even though they were in the "Detonators" alliance together -- which was also comprised of Frankie, Cody Calafiore and Derrick Levasseur.

Zach tried to form a "Bro's" alliance with Cody, Frankie and Hayden. However, Cody wanted nothing to do with it because he knew Zach was a wild card in the game. Frankie was also worried about the houseguests' perception of Zach, as it seemed mostly everyone couldn't stand him. Frankie considered just putting Zach on the block but changed his mind when he realized Zach would probably blow up the alliance's strategy as a result.

Hayden began working with Victoria just to ensure himself another vote to safety down the road. Nicole was growing a little jealous of Hayden and Victoria's relationship, as she finally admitted to having a crush on Hayden.

Meanwhile, Caleb Reynolds insisted he had fallen out of "romantic mode" when it came to his love for Amber and wanted to start playing in "beast mode cowboy" again. Caleb no longer wanted to spend all of his energy protecting Amber when she couldn't have cared less about him in return and often took him for granted. Zach also played a role in turning Caleb against Amber by reiterating how badly Amber was treating him.

Caleb then suggested to Frankie that he should pull Jocasta off the block and put Amber up just to scare her. Caleb thought she was getting a big head in the game and was floating to the other side of the house. Caleb figured a nomination might bring her back to earth, however, he told Frankie they shouldn't vote to evict her.

While Frankie agreed, he said in a confessional he didn't know who was more clueless -- Amber or Caleb -- because he firmly believed Amber was going home no matter what.

In addition, "Team America" failed its third secret mission. Donny Thompson, Frankie and Derrick were tasked with sparking enough drama in the house to result in two houseguests getting into a heated argument at either the nomination ceremony or Power of Veto meeting. No fight broke out at either event.
