Big Brother determined the week's two official nominations after the Power of Veto competition during Wednesday night's 25th broadcast of the show's sixteenth season on CBS.

As the week's only remaining Head of Household, Frankie Grande ended up nominating Zach Rance and Cody Calafiore for eviction. After the "Battle of the Block" competition, Caleb Reynolds and Cody had been the week's two nominees.

However, Frankie ended up also winning the Power of Veto and therefore took Caleb off the chopping block. Frankie was then forced to name a replacement nominee and he selected Zach, his best friend in the house.

Frankie was back and forth between Zach and Victoria Rafaeli because Victoria was the easy nominee and wouldn't result in any blood on his hands. But Frankie didn't fully trust Zach, and Zach had stirred so much drama in the house that he had a negative effect on almost everyone's game at one point or another.

Big Brother's 25th broadcast began with Donny Thompson revealing he was certain Christine Brecht had thrown the "BoB" competition. He was hurt and assumed everyone was in on it.

Meanwhile, Cody and Caleb, two of Derrick Levasseur's strongest allies in the house, were on the block and Derrick wasn't happy about it. Derrick insisted to Donny that Victoria was his target and if she got on the block, she'd be going home. Donny was quiet and knew Derrick was "blowing smoke up everyone's tail all season." It was obvious to Derrick that Donny was no longer working with him and had lost all trust in him.

Leading up to the Power of Veto competition, the "Detonators" alliance -- comprised of Frankie, Zach, Derrick, Cody, and Christine -- feared Donny or Victoria might win the PoV and not use it. Although Caleb was not in the alliance directly, he was still a loyal asset to them and he trusted them entirely.

Frankie was initially convinced he wanted to win the PoV, take Caleb off the block, and nominate Victoria for eviction. He called it the most crucial PoV of the season because it was possible one of his closest allies could get sent home.

Derrick ultimately wished to target Zach but played things smoothly around Frankie as to not stir up trouble. Meanwhile, Donny hoped Zach would win the veto and Zach worried about being backdoored. Donny liked Zach and wanted to gain some credibility with him. He could also tell Zach wasn't in the guys' clique, so Donny hoped they could join forces by planting seeds in his mind.

Zach and Frankie then discussed how if Derrick made it to the end of the game, he'd definitely win. However, they weren't ready to turn on Derrick.

Zach promised he wouldn't nominate Frankie for two weeks if the HoH kept him safe this week, and Frankie agreed. With all the talk of Derrick's great game and everything, Frankie started to think it would be best to take out an ally now to better his own chances of winning the game. He felt he needed to make a big move.

Frankie then realized he needed to take out Zach. The houseguests also believed Zach was stealing everybody's possessions -- which was actually part of "Team America's" mission -- so it seemed like a good excuse for Frankie to take advantage of when nominating Zach.

After the eviction nominees were officially announced, Frankie expected fireworks to ensue thanks to Zach. Frankie expected Zach to blow up everyone's spot. Cody, on the other hand, hoped he was 100% safe but feared his position because anything can happen in the game. Zach felt betrayed by Frankie as both a friend and alliance member.
