Jeremy McGuire insists the controversial comments he was shown making during Big Brother's live-feeds aren't representative of his character.

"Everybody in there was friendly with everybody and we weren't scared to say it in front of each other, so I'm sure it was just twisted and turned in a way to entertain. But I guess we'll just have to wait and see."
McGuire said he was finally made aware of the public outcry regarding the offensive slurs when he was kicked off the show, as the houseguests who have made such comments -- especially Aaryn Gries and GinaMarie Zimmerman -- are oblivious to home viewers' reactions while playing the game.
"Yeah, I was warned a little bit about some of the things. They told me that it's been a pretty hectic time outside the house, but I haven't gotten into too many specifics, so I couldn't really tell you too much. But I know who I am, and I know that no matter what anybody says, it's not going to change my feelings about myself. So bring it on is all I have to say," McGuire said.
McGuire explained he didn't exactly call out or reprimand other houseguests on their racist language while in the game because he didn't want to create unnecessary waves or hurt his chances to win Big Brother.
"You don't want to rock the boat. I didn't want to get on anybody's bad side, and if it wasn't effecting me or at me personally, I didn't really want to jump into it," he told EW. "There's probably some times I should've stepped in and said, 'Calm down,' but it's a really crazy time. It's really completely different than you would ever think, so I just sat back and enjoyed the show, I guess."
Big Brother's fifteenth season showed McGuire making a degrading remark about Kaitlin Barnaby's private parts and being called "a bully" by some houseguests, including Helen Kim, who is Asian American.
McGuire also reiterated prior comments he's made about how he's confident his showmance with Barnaby will end up outlasting Amanda Zuckerman and McCrae Olson's relationship -- mainly because Zuckerman entered the Big Brother house with a boyfriend back home.
"I think me and Kaitlin will. Amanda's got a man at home, so we'll see about that," McGuire said. "She's got a boyfriend at home. She might not anymore, but she did."
