Big Brother revealed its first "BB Takeover" twist and crowned the seventeenth season's second Head of Household during Thursday night's broadcast on CBS.

Big Brother's second episode began with host Julie Chen explained to the remaining group of houseguests the "BB Takeover" twist as well as the return of "The Battle of the Block" before they moved into the house.

Julie then asked Becky Burgess, 26-year-old retail manager from Denver, CO; Liz Nolan, a 23-year-old marketing coordinator from Miami, FL; and Steve Moses, a 22-year-old college student from Gouverneur, NY, to head into the house first and greet the bunch of contestants already settled in.

Meg Maley could tell Steve wasn't good with the ladies. Liz sized up Clay Honeycutt and called him a "10 out of 10." She thought he was "fine."

John McGuire, a 27-year-old dentist from Scranton, PA, who currently resides in Jefferson Township, PA; Vanessa Rousso, a 32-year-old professional poker player from Las Vegas, NV; and Jason Roy, a 25-year-old supermarket cashier from Fall River, MA, who currently resides in Swansea, MA, were then asked to move into the Big Brother house.

The 14 houseguests all assumed they would be the only contestants competing this season.

When the entire group introduced themselves to one another and described their backgrounds, Da'Vonne Rogers did not believe John was a dentist. She said he just didn't act like one, however, John was actually telling the truth.

Jace immediately took a liking to Liz because she had revealed she broke up with her significant other before the show so she could be single on Big Brother and have some fun. Jace admitted he had done a very similar thing.

Clay thought Steve looked just like Ian Terry, who was very intelligent and won Big Brother's fourteenth season. Clay said if Steve was anything like Ian, he'd have to keep an eye on him.

When Vanessa addressed the group, she lied and said she works as a deejay back at home. In reality, Vanessa is a professional poker player, but she worried the contestants would have preconceived notions about that career, like she could be manipulative or a good bluffer.

James Huling called Vanessa, Becky and Liz all "smokebombs." He confessed he wouldn't mind sharing the HoH title with any one of them.

At dinner that night, the houseguests realized there were two empty seats at the table. That got everyone's mind wandering.

Julie Chen then introduced the first "BB Takeover" guest -- Phil Keoghan, host of The Amazing Race. Phil told Julie that since Big Brother often gives cast members to The Amazing Race, he felt it was only fair to give some Racers back to Big Brother.

Phil then explained Season 26's Jackie Ibarra, a 27-year-old professional dancer from Las Vegas, NV, and Jeffrey Weldon, a 26-year-old account executive in sales from Tampa, FL, would be moving into the Big Brother house and playing with everyone else.

Jeff and Jackie were best remembered for being matched up on the craziest blind date of their lives on The Amazing Race and really hitting it off romantically. However, their relationship didn't work after the show due to the great distance between them.

Julie Chen asked the couple the current status of their relationship, and they both insisted they were great friends -- who talked about two or three times a week -- but single. Jeff went as far as to say things were "not passionate" between them.

Phil then introduced the first "BB Takeover" twist to the houseguests, who were shocked by Jeff and Jackie's arrival. Steve hoped the pair would be an easy, early target because they had already developed trust between them outside of the show.

Jeff told the cameras he had Jackie in his "back pocket" and they were on the same wavelength although they'd behave as two separate individuals in the house, not as a team.

Before the second Head of Household competition commenced, Julie Chen asked one person from the second group of eight houseguests to sit out. They talked amongst themselves and Vanessa finally stepped up to the plate and offered to do it. She didn't know what the repercussions were going to be, but she was willing to take a gamble. The group decided she shouldn't be nominated for eviction that week.

The second HoH, dubbed "UFOh No," required the houseguests to hold onto a stake for as long as they possible could while a big UFO flying saucer tried to suck them up into the sky. The last person holding on to his or her stake would win the competition and be able to put two people on the chopping block later on.

The challenge came down to Jackie against Jason. Jason promised he'd keep Jackie safe if she let go, so she made him promise her and then dropped out.

The episode concluded with a cliffhanger in which Phil told Vanessa and Da'Vonne they both took a risk by sitting out of the first two HoH competitions, however, "sometimes risk comes with reward."
